23.01.2022 We will Remember Them

20.01.2022 Hi everyone hope you are all staying safe, just to let you all know we are still open for bussiness but have changed our trading hours slightly for both Tuggeranong and Gunghalin, we also have our optometrists back on board so please give either store a call to book in a time. Thankyou from all of us at ACT Optical

20.01.2022 Hey Canberra This weekend we've changed some of our #COVID19 restrictions. With no active COVID-19 cases in the ACT right now, we’re in a good position. But i...t’s not a race to lift restrictions and we’re not going to move too early or take unnecessary risks. We know the essential public health measures over the past few weeks have put a strain on the wellbeing of many Canberrans. We're ensuring that as we respond to the pandemic, restrictions are sustainable for the long term. With this in mind, we've made some small low risk changes to support Canberra families and our economy. From today 2 May 2020, the following is allowed: You can leave your home for non-essential shopping purposes to support retail stores Members of one household can visit another household (where there are no other visitors present) just in time for Mother’s Day! You can travel to NSW to visit family and friends, but not for holiday or recreational purposes this means no surfing on the south coast. Physical distancing and good hand and respiratory hygiene must always be practised. Further work is continuing at the National Cabinet. More information is expected next Friday 8 May 2020. Got a question on the changes? Visit our 'FAQs on Easing Restrictions' page https://bit.ly/COVID-19-FAQs-Restrictions

16.01.2022 The ACT Government’s roadmap for easing #COVID19 restrictions was released today, with Stage 2.1 coming into effect from 11.59pm Friday 29 May. Our roadmap out...lines the ACT’s COVID-19 recovery plan and how we will support our local economy and our community, without compromising the hard work we have all put in to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the Territory. Every state and territory is different, and this roadmap considers the current environment for Canberrans. Our priority is to resume activities which will strengthen our community, restore our economy and improve our physical and mental wellbeing as soon as possible, based on the advice of public health experts and economists on how to gradually reopen our local economy while sustaining our low case numbers over the next few months. If our easing of restrictions doesn’t result in any significant increase in cases across the Territory, we will move into the next phase of our recovery plan on 11:59pm 19 June. This phase will see maximum occupancy limits in some venues, depending in their size, increasing to 50 people per enclosed space (within the 1 per 4 square metres rule). Cinemas, indoor amusement centres will also be able to reopen and there will be further easing of restrictions for gyms, health centres and community sport. Further consideration of measures outlined in Stage 3 of the National Cabinet COVIDSafe Plan will start in a month as we monitor the impact of the easing of restrictions undertaken to date. Visit www.covid19.act.gov.au/roadmap to view the detailed roadmap. We’ll also be adding FAQs shortly.
