25.01.2022 COOL CLIMATE CLASSIC 2019 this weekend



25.01.2022 2019 US tour. What a great experience for our team from Impact Martial Arts who spent their holidays travelling to the US and training at the Kings Combat Sports centre in Chatsworth, California prior the US Open. Amber Heslop - Junior... Sally Heslop - Cadet Guliana Masiello - Cadet Alex Osborn - Cadet John Masiello - Coach Brad Osborn - Coach Owner and former US National team member for Kyorugi & Poomsae, Luis Reyes was so hospitable by opening up his centre to the team. There was many amazing international athletes to train with. What a great way to prepare for the 2019 US open. Thank you Kings Combat Sports.

24.01.2022 Brother and sister team; - Gaius Frezza - Avalon Frezza competed in the 2019 European Presidents Cup and Turkish Open. ... What a great experience and fantastic way to finish their European tour. We make particular mention to thank our great friends and International Coaches who helped our athletes have such a great time. Its great to see so much confidence in their return to Australia. The investment has really paid off.

24.01.2022 2019 US Open: With some intense training out of the way the team from IMPACT Martial Arts had 4 athletes and 2 coaches ready and eager to compete for this years US open. There were many National Teams attending from the powerhouse countries such as GB, Spain, Mexico, Turkey and US exemplifying the level of competition at the event... What a great experience for the team all.

Refer to AT for updates. **WEIGH IN** ACT Cool Climate Classic weigh in is held at the AIS Arena.... AT Selections weigh in is held at the AIS Combat Centre. **COOL CLIMATE CLASSIC START TIME** The Cool Climate class will begin shortly after the ACT Selections has commenced. **ATHLETE REGISTRATIONS** SPARRING Athletes will receive a wrist band at weigh in or can show AT card upon entry. POOMSAE Athletes will receive a wrist band upon entry to the competition area. See you all this weekend!

USA win 3. Canada loss Thank you coach John Masiello for coaching Sally. WELL DONE to the other IMPACT team members. What a great event Amber Heslop -59kg Female Junior Well done for reaching the Quarter Finals. 1st time as a junior winning two matches 1. USA win 32-3 PTG 2. USA win 3-1 3. Canada loss 5-21 (silver medalist) Guliana Masiello -44kg Female Cadet lost 1st round to USA 8-13 to the QF Alex Osborne -49kg Male Cadet lost 1st round to USA 3-16 to the QF Also thanks to coaches John and Brad for coaching and supporting the team.

22.01.2022 Amazing job Gaius Frezza Bronze medal and well done. 3 of our High Performance Program (HPP) athletes competed in the Aragon Open in Spain Jan 2019.... Well done to Avalon Frezza and Aaron Choy as well. The program continues to enable our athletes opportunities for exposure to high quality competitions. Definitely plenty of experience to build on.

18.01.2022 On behalf of ACT Taekwondo, I would like to thank everyone who came on the weekend to support our biggest ACT Cool Climate Classic to date. I am very thankful for the professionalism, fun attitude and sportsmanship shown by all. The weekend was a huge success with both athletes and officials gaining valuable competition practice and experience. We are glad as well, to have hosted so many family/friends supporters and to leave them feeling safe with Taekwondo and eager to cont...inue. Thank you to the Clubs from all over Australia who made the trip to Canberra, to all the players and their families who came to support their teams, and of course to all the Coaches for allowing their students the opportunity to participate and gain experience. A huge thank you to the Sparring Referees, Poomsae Judges and Officials who supported us, and without which such a huge and successful event wouldnt be possible. We are especially proud to see up and coming referees/judges learning and improving with experience at the Cool Climate Classic. Thank you to Michael Griffiths and Thanh Le, ACT Taekwondos Tournament directors for their incredible effort before, during, and after the event. A special thank you to our registered nurses and first aid staff that made themselves available for both full days. And thank you to our amazing and diligent volunteers who gave their time and energy to make this all possible. ACT Taekwondo appreciates your continued support and friendship. 13.01.2022 Another year and another fantastic Cool Climate Classic!!! Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved. ... We had 2 super big days full of fun and challenges. A little over 500 entries, competing in Sparring & Poomsae with over 25 clubs supporting. Saturday Was started off with our beginner Poomsae Competition. It was followed by the hugely successful Black Belt Sparring Competition for the more experienced Cadet, Junior, and Senior divisions. Sunday We had all Poomsae compete as well as all the left over sparring cohort. We would like thank all the following who with out your diligent support and contribution we could not run such a successful event.
