25.01.2022 Some pictures taken by our resident photographer of our recent summer getaway to Barwon Heads, and our family discussion circles at RMIT University. Anyone's welcome to join us (comment below to request details). Or if you're not in Melbourne, watch our videos on this page...

25.01.2022 We observe that there is constant activity in the cosmos, whether at the level of macro physical objects, micro particles or even immaterial entities. In the Eighteenth Letter of the Risale-i Nur, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi points out that science and philosophy are unable to explain this unceasing activity. Guided by the effulgence of the Quran, he offers two reasons for the constant change and renewal in the cosmos.

20.01.2022 Worship involves apprehending the Divine Names and attributes that are manifested in the cosmos, and striving to reflect these Names and attributes in our own choices. This cannot be done comprehensively in the absence of 'action'. We must choose to 'act' in order to properly worship and fulfil the purpose of our creation. A discussion based partly on the Third Word of the Risale-i Nur.

18.01.2022 In the Twenty Third Word of the Risale-i Nur, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi informs us that belief in God necessitates the affirmation of Divine Unity (Tawhid), which in turn necessitates 'submission' to the will of God, which in turn necessitates 'reliance' on Him. In other words, the person who believes in God is rationally compelled to both submit to and rely upon God. Our willingness to submit to God and rely on Him, can in fact act as a litmus test of the quality our faith. https://vimeo.com/119119271

16.01.2022 Fun and sohbet in the sun!

10.01.2022 If God is merciful and compassionate, then why does He cause us to suffer illness and calamity in this life? Bediuzzaman Said Nursi says that our purpose in this life is to come to know God, and to do trade for the hereafter. Both of these entail that we sometimes experience difficulty of various sorts. Watch our video for an elaboration. Based on the Twenty Fifth Flash of the Risale-i Nur.
