19.01.2022 Our 25th year of Wine Appreciation classes start this coming Monday 10 February at CIT. Sorry but there are no places left. I still cannot retire!

19.01.2022 Our next Wine and Food Matching Dinner is set down for Saturday 29 June. The menu is: Arrival: Potato Rosemary bread. Starters: Spiced lamb and quinoa cigars with fine salad. Entree: Barramundi, smokey romesco, corn and chorizo. Main: Pork cheek with black truffle and potato mash with Madeira jus and beans. Dessert: Passionfruit mousse with bitter chocolate gelati and orange. Tea/coffee. All matched with 8 wines. Enquiries to telephone 0408 626918.

17.01.2022 Wine Appreciation Course Graduation Dinner Saturday 15 September 7pm at Trev's@Dickson. The Menu! Arrival: Jerusalem Bread. Starters: Asparagus, Romesco Parmesan. Entree: Salmon, Citrus, Saffron and Pistachio. Main: Beef, Beetroot, Radicchio and Goat's Cheese. Dessert: Hazelnut, Golden Syrup Cheese Cake, with Ginger Nut Crunch. Tea and Coffee. Matched with 8 wines. 6 spots left for the public.

15.01.2022 Second last weekend of our cheese tastings as Chris has been re-trenched. Meredith Dairy Cheeses doing it tough it seems like many Aussie businesses. Saturday 4 August: Meredith Dairy Cheeses at Tom's SuperFruits Belconnen Markets 10.30am-1.30pm. Next weekend will be the last tastings since we commenced them in 2012.

15.01.2022 Our Wine and Food Matching Dinners have been few and far between this year due to Covid restrictions. Our last one for the year is on Monday 30 November at Trev...'s in Dickson at 7pm. The Menu (supported no doubt by some Rosemary or Parmesan Bread and finishing off with tea/coffee) will include: Starters - Cured Salmon with Lime Fennel; Entree - Filo, Three Cheeses and Lemon Cigar; Main - Beef Short Rib, Potato Puree, Mixed Mushrooms and Aromatics; Dessert - Chocolate Brownie, Cherry Compote, Chocolate Gelato and Floss. 15.01.2022 Sorry if I missed you at the Garran Friendly Grocer last night with the Angove Wine tasting. I packed up and went home at 5.45pm after not being able to stand up. No not drunk, just feeling really ill with bad stomach cramps. Some smart arse said I might be pregnant! LOL.
