17.01.2022 Today marks the end of our 'Meet the Committee' series with our Social Media Coordinator, Olivia Cottier -- Name: Olivia Cottier... Nickname/s: Liv/Livvie/Samosa Jo (courtesy of Elyse) Role: Social Media Coordinator What made you want to be a part of Aquinas Young Vinnies: I heard about Vinnies during first year and went on my first camp in semester 2 that year and I’ve been hooked ever since. Favourite Young Vinnies memory: There’s too many to pick just one! But seeing the kids get so much out of the events makes me so happy. Also, the nights on camp after the kids have gone to bed and we are all just a little delusional and hyper. There was one night in particular with a giant inflatable soccer ball Parmi or Parma: Depends, but usually a parma gal If you could be anyone for 24 hours who would you be: An astronaut. Don’t care who, I just want to go to space! Most annoying member on the committee: honestly, it’s probably me hehe. Who would you choose to play you in a movie about your life: Georgie Henley Favourite hobby: Netball and spending time with my pals Favourite song: super tough one since its always changing but honestly loving anything by Bliss n Eso, Niall Horan and Harry Styles lately Netflix go to movie/show: Brooklyn Nine-Nine for sure! But in terms of movies a classic 90s Disney movie or a sports movie of some kind What would you say to someone thinking about getting involved with Young Vinnies: Just got for it! You have absolutely nothing to lose. The kids we work with will learn so much from you and you will also learn so much from them. You will get to spend time with some pretty awesome, like-minded people and learn so much about yourself and what you are capable of. -- Liv is our social media and promotion guru. Anything you see on our social media accounts or promotion around campus is probably attributed to Liv’s hard work and dedication. Last year, she also had the role of recruitment and worked tirelessly to ensure new and old members’ forms were up to date, so they were able to attend our events. Her creativity and eye-for-detail has helped to form an online presence for Vinnies and increased the number of new members joining our conference over the past year. Liv’s bubbly personality tied with her commitment to fulfil her role to a high standard makes her a very valuable member of our team.
