22.01.2022 **What is a "minimiser" bra and why don't we have any** If you google what a minimiser bra is it says, "A minimiser bra is designed to compress and spread your breasts across your chest to reduce the forward projection. This, they say, will make you look smaller and help you to do up your shirt button" When we are fitting here in store our aim is not to compress the breasts as this puts pressure onto the breast tissue which can lead to a lot of discomfort. We look to lift and... separate the bust so that each breast is encased perfectly in the correct size wire and cup so that there is no spillage (the dreaded double boob) or wire digging in uncomfortably. There are so many different shapes of bras that we stock which can either hold your bust closer to your body which will make your bust look smaller from a side profile or alternatively styles that will project your bust forward which will give you a narrower appearance from front on. Think of it like putting on a pair of shapewear.... it promises to slim you by a dress size but in my experience it always just ends up pushing my wobbly bits out the top or bottom :P because let's face it, it has to go somewhere at the end of the day not magically disappear like we want it to. So what happens when we have a customer ask for a minimser? We explain to them the same as above and then we let them know to try on a variety of styles and shapes. When they have found some that fit perfectly and they feel comfortable in, we ask them to pop their shirt on as that is the best way to see if you like the shape and projection of that particular bra. So whilst we may not sell a "minimiser bra'' as such... there will be the perfect fit for you here in store for the look that you are after.

21.01.2022 To twist or not to twist? . . There are many different ways that women put on their bras... some put their arms through and do it up in the back and others fasten the hook and eyes in the front and twist the bra around and into place. There is no right and wrong way to get your bras on but please be aware that certain ways can cause damage to your bras. .... . In the photo above the top picture is a brand new never been tried on bra, as you can see the wire sits perfectly flat (as it should). The picture below has been tried on once and has been fastened in the front and twisted around warping the wire out of shape. Over time this can weaken the wire, making it more susceptible to breaking. . . Whether you twist them around or fasten in the back please be gentle with them to avoid any damage to the wires See more

07.01.2022 How much does your bra cost you? . . Lets break it down.... say you buy one of our bras at $89.95 (not our cheapest but not our most expensive either). Now following manufacturers recommendations, you wear that bra 3 times a week(rotating with others) for 6 months, that bra has only cost you $1.15 with every wear . . That amount doesnt seem too bad in the long run does it? Now you can definitely get a lot longer out of your bras as long as you care for them properly like ...hand washing and not wearing it every single day. They are doing some heavy lifting and do benefit from being rested, we do understand that not everyone can afford multiple bras at the same time but there are some options if you do need more then 1 . .
