24.01.2022 GARLIC BREATH // Plus side of mask life. I enthusiastically eat garlic. It’s pungent, slightly spicy flavour infuses into curries, pastas, stir-fries and now my breakfast. The sometimes off-putting aroma of garlic breath that lingers for hours afterwards is no longer a problem! Mask on. Enjoy garlic for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
21.01.2022 "In recent weeks, several high-profile teams and clubs revealed they are using information about athletes’ menstrual cycles to tailor training programs, enhance performance and endeavour to avoid injury." Do you use your cycle to your advantage?? https://www.theguardian.com//aflw-exploring-link-between-p

15.01.2022 INVEST IN YOUR HEALTH // It's the best investment you can make. Prioritising your own health is a gift not only to yourself, but to your family, friends and your community. If you’re burnt out, stressed and have no energy, you won’t be productive or have time for the people and activities you love, and this doesn’t benefit anyone. Things that are proven to make you happier and healthier:... -Ensure you get adequate rest -Move each day -Spend quality time with your family and friends. See more
13.01.2022 Bear with me, this is a long one. But it’s close to my heart. I’ve spent years undergoing IVF and other forms of Assisted Reproductive Treatment. And every time... I’ve had results like these(taken last year), it finally felt like it was all worth it - the countless injections, fatigue, nausea, tears, and the almost unbearable rollercoaster of hope and despair. But - despite what you see in the pictures below - I still don’t have a child of my own. The second line in those tests, and several others, gradually faded over days or weeks. But the pain of IVF started before all of that. It started when, during my first consultation, I was told I needed to complete a police check to determine my eligibility for treatment. My sisters didn’t need to do that when they had their kids, and neither did my friends. It felt like my fitness to be a parent was being questioned because of my infertility - something I have no control over. It was embarrassing and demeaning, and came at a time when I was already feeling pretty low. This is the experience of tens of thousands of women every year in Victoria. But last night we changed that when the Assisted Reproductive Treatment Amendment Bill 2020 passed through the Parliament. There will no longer be a need for women or couples to withstand the judgment and humiliation inherent in the police check process. The requirement may have been well intentioned, but it was ultimately wrong. And now we’ve fixed it. Good.

01.01.2022 I have never been more obsessed! Plant lovers, go forth and froth!! #Repost @sustainabilityscavengers Give new life to your used items!... . Compostable tea bags, yogurt containers, egg cartons, and plastic and Styrofoam disposable cups all can be used for starting your seeds. Just wash them out, drill or cut holes in the bottoms, top up with your potting mix and plant your seeds. Place your seedlings in a sunny window, keep them watered and watch them to grow. . Grow plants in old kitchenware Kitchen items such as tea kettles, colanders, pots and bowls that you’re ready to throw out can be given a new lease on life as planters in your garden. Colanders, for example, are an option for growing lettuce and they already have holes that allow excess water to escape. Similarly, it’s possible to drill holes in the bottom of other kitchenware for proper drainage. . Save your soup and vegetable cans for a tin-can garden. Growing herbs or flowers in them can create a decorative look out of seemingly mundane cans. . . . . . from @blossom . . . . #reuse #sustainableliving #bamboo #plastickills #againstplastic #saynotoplastic #plasticfree #globalwarming #planet #nature #amazon #climateemergency #votefortheplanet #savetheplanet #ecofriendly #sustainability #plasticpollution #climateaction #environmentalist #ecotips #ecofriendlyproducts See more
