25.01.2022 . This gorgeous hand-picked bouquet was given to me from a lovely client that I was supporting in her last weeks of pregnancy and in preparation for labour. Bubs was born about a week ago and the bouquet has been a reminder of those sweet moments of surrender and trust that occur just before birth. I love my job.



23.01.2022 I am loving these Paleo Vegan Tortillas. I am sure you will too. They can be topped with literally anything! . 100g (1 cup) almond meal 125 g (1 cup) ...arrowroot or tapioca flour 125 ml ( cup) milk of your choice 125 ml ( cup) filtered water pinch of salt coconut oil for frying . METHOD . Combine the almond meal, arrowroot or tapioca flour, milk, water and salt in a bowl and mix well to form a smooth thin batter. (The more watery the batter, the thinner and crispier your tortillas will be, so add a splash or two more if you like.) . Melt 1 tablespoon of the coconut oil in a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Ladle a quarter of the batter into the pan, tilting and swirling it to coat the base in an even layer, and cook for 23 minutes, then CARFULLY turn the tortilla over with a spatula and cook for a further 2 minutes, or until golden and cooked through. Lift the tortilla from the pan and set aside, wrapped in a clean tea towel to keep warm. . Repeat with the remaining mixture, greasing the pan with a little more coconut oil in between tortillas to make sure they don’t stick to the pan. . 22.01.2022 Acupuncture & Anxiety It is exciting to see that studies show how Acupuncture has an effect on both the sympathetic (fight or flight) and the parasympathetic (rest & digest) nervous system. ‘When the body is under stress, an area of the brain called the hypothalamus releases neurochemicals, and research shows that acupuncture can calm this response.... Acupuncture has also been shown to increase the release of endorphins, the body’s own ‘feel-good’ chemicals, which play an important role in the regulation of physical and emotional stress responses such as pain, heart rate, blood pressure and digestive function. 19.01.2022 . Dang Gui aka Angelica Sinesis has been used since ancient times. It is a herb that I use in almost every formula to some degree, especially if I am regulating the menstrual cycle. . Within the Materia Medica it is considered a Tonifying and Blood Building herb. It is warm in temperature and sweet & spicy in taste and it smells Amazing!... . There is an old Chinese tale that is told about how women would add Dang Gui to letters to their loved ones. This would convey to the loved one that the sender wanted to hear back from them. In a similar way in TCM we use Dang Gui in a herbal formula to help regulate menstrual cycle and hope for it to return . Today I will be adding Dang Gui to a nourishing Bone Broth soup together with Astralagus root and Codonopsis root, which I can use as a base for many dishes. . Take a moment to be kind to yourself and fill your cup with extra sparkle whilst thinking of those women of all ages who do not have the same opportunities as yourself. Having lived a good portion of my life in Latin America, I can truly say that we have a lot to be grateful for here in Australia. But until all women and girls are treated with respect and equally as men, we should all take responsibil...ity for educating boys & girls and ensure that we are role models for them. @mollycostelloart
