23.01.2022 My Yoga journey...Follow my journey with yoga at the Acusense Health Clinic. I incorporate both yoga and pilates for physical and mental strength. I find the practice brings me peace and relaxation. It takes alot of mental concentration and physcial stamina to balance myself and hold a pose for more than one minute. Yoga helps by releasing the tension and allowing free flow of blood, oxygen and energy. Certain movements and poses opens you up and forces you out of your comfort zone.

15.01.2022 Do you clench your jaws and/ or grind your teeth? You can tell by the tension/tightness in and around your jaws, your temperol areas, the base of your head, top of your shoulders, headaches (constant), neck and throat muscles. Mouth guard is NOT the answer. It just means you are now biting down on the mouth guard, instead of your teeth. Mouth guard can help during the short term/interim. However, should you wish to have a more permanent long-term solution, then focusing on managing your stress levels and learning how to release conditioned, long-term muscle tension is the only way to go.

05.01.2022 To the athlete in us all: If you are into your running, cycling, dancing, other sports and fitness, then take your time to gradually increase your distance, weights etc to give your muscles a chance to strengthen up. What's the drawback with increasing mileage or weights too soon? You consequently place pressure on your calves, joints, bones etc.. causing shin splints, painful calves, feet pain and so forth.
