21.01.2022 No morning plenary for Day 3, but we were overwhelmed by the exitement and then sincerity in the room during yesterday's celebrations and adorations. The fullness of Holy Spirit was truly felt in both our voices and our silence. Happily for us, it was easy to get carried away at our communal joy at being instruments of God and thr Holy Spirit. What sessions did you go to? Did you take down notes? The opening session of the Festival, which has drawn 5500 young people from across Australia, featured a Welcome to Country, high-tempo music, inspirational speakers and moments of prayer. Being able to pray with each other, with equal sincerity and love, helped remind us all how truly moving every single sign of the cross can be and how life-changing we can turn every amen. . . This Australia Day, let us use the power of prayer and our generosity for our brothers and sisters affected by bushfires. All Churches in Australia will hold a special collection which will go directly to the Vinnies relief fund.
