13.01.2022 Delayed start time to Douglas Park comp tomorrow night We have been watching the weather forecast for tomorrow and have decided to delay the start time to 7pm. So, please be advised of the following order of events:... 5pm presentations / awards on the veranda Dog of the Year trophies, medallions, handler awards, titles, volunteers recognition and long service membership recognition 6pm course set up followed by walking 7pm first dogs ready to run, at which time BOM is currently predicting temperature would have dropped a bit to 32 degrees Please make sure you bring plenty of water for yourself and your dogs. And good news is that they have reinstalled a tap on the field again, so we will try and arrange for a paddle pool to help cool dogs down.

02.01.2022 South East Qld members are advised that the Board has been notified of a dog diagnosed with a mild case of kennel cough on 24 November 2020. The most recent competition attended by the dog was SunCoast FunDogs Beginners' Competition on 7 November 2020 (well prior to symptoms) and has only been at Pine Agility Dog Sports Club for training a week prior to evidence of cough. Another dog from the same household was at WAAG competition on 21 November 2020 but is exhibiting no sy...mptoms. Members are strongly encouraged to make themselves familiar with both: ADAA's Contagious Diseases Policy https://adaa.com.au/contagious-diseases/ and Frequently Asked Questions. https://adaa.com.au//uploads/POL-POL-002-ADAA-FAQs-for-Mem Despite its name, dogs don't have to be in kennels to contract Kennel Cough. It can be picked up any time they are contact with an infected dog (before and after it is showing symptoms itself) and/or its secretions. You are advised to seek advice from your veterinary surgeon if uncertain. With thanks for your assistance
