25.01.2022 Only you can determine if a hunt was successful to you, & you get to define how you measure that success. Different forms of success can be measured by; learning something new, harvesting meat for the freezer, harvesting a trophy, or just having a great time in the outdoors. Remember, success in hunting is determined in the eye of the beholder.

23.01.2022 Have you hunted Pilliga East? Being open 7 days a week to hunting (for those with an R-Licence) and roughly an 8-9 hr drive away from Brisbane (does not including pit stops) makes this forest worth visiting.

10.01.2022 Recreational hunting in QLD public lands (state forests) faces resistance from certain segments of the community. Legislative change also faces numerous challenges given the stance against recreational hunting by the current QLD Government.

10.01.2022 A new person to hunting may think that the hunting/stalking part of a hunt is the hard part. But if they talked to other hunters, the other hunters will quickly tell them that after the shot, the real work begins! What do you do after the shot? How do you remember where the animal was, which direction it went in, & what reaction did that animal have? These type of skills & others are necessary in determining whether your shot was successful or not & aiding in the successful recovery of meat & trophy. Enhance your skills by putting in the work in to read signs & follow up deer; this will make you a better hunter.
