20.01.2022 Some where in the Indian Ocean... The team who make up Sicada’s Marine Division get to work in some interesting places including oil platforms, large carriers and tankers as well as the occasional Daddy’s yacht. Offshore work presents its own unique challenges and the maintenance scheduling is often demanding, something Kevin Kearns, SE Old Marine Manager relishes. And he gets to take some great photos.

19.01.2022 Sicada Fire & Safety - 26 years in the making When Robin Sellar started trading in 1993 not in his wildest dreams could he have imagined how his business would look in 2020. Some things have remained constant throughout including a total focus on the provision of a first class customer service, delivered with integrity and accountability. In fact that is how the company name came about - Safety, Integrity, Compliance, Accountability, Delivery, Always and it remains today. The brand identity, however, was in need of a refresh to better reflect the status of the business today. Sicada’s clientele is very broad and includes large multinational-nationals, small local businesses and many in between, all serviced by our Teams who make up our Resources, Marine, Commercial and Engineering Divisions.

18.01.2022 More than a big truck! It might be a big truck, or rather a very big truck, but we are excited by its newly installed on-board fire suppression system! Just one of many through Central Queensland and NSW mining sites.

09.01.2022 Jon M spent yesterday installing an FM200 suppression system onto a vessel whilst it was undergoing a mid-life overhaul. Sicada’s Marine division enjoy working on a range of vessels from trawlers to launches as well as the proverbial Daddy’s yachts.

06.01.2022 From little acorns 18 May 1993 saw Sicada Fire & Safety make its very first sale. 27 years on and the company has grown though remained true to the values of integrity and accountability. In a busy working environment it is good to reminisce for a moment on the journey and reflect on those humble beginnings. A big thank you to all our valued customers we are looking forward to the next 27 years

01.01.2022 Sicada’s Brisbane based Marine team travelled north last week to Tin Can Bay where they carried out annual fire safety inspections on a number of fishing trawlers.
