18.01.2022 CHANGE YOUR WORKOUTS UP Simply going through the motions will NOT efficiently get you to your health and fitness goals. Every set and every rep needs to be controlled and completed for a reason. Knowing what exercises to do in what order, how many sets and reps all helps with reaching your goals. . . .... This exercise is a good example of a back movement to add into your routine. It’s not largely used in a lot of routines but it’s a good example of a way to incorporate a new movement. The #process : 1. Slightly bend your knees, maintain good posture by ensuring your shoulders don’t round and stick your #booty out to keep your torso stiff. 2. Take a small step back to engage the cable machine. 3. Keeping your shoulders locked back and your entire arm stiff, engage your #lats and push/pull the weight in one smooth motion down to your hips. 4. Control the weight back up, still keeping your shoulders and arms stiff and locked up. 5. Repeat. . . . If you feel your shoulders round, or your lower back gets involved, stop immediately and reset, maybe even lower the weight a bit. 14.01.2022 TRICK QUESTION!! I have a sugar free monster every single day and I’m in great health, AND I have Pepsi max daily too. So to start, one thing I always reinforce to people is that no food or drink is bad for you, and that it can be more than fine to eat or drink your favourites in MODERATION!... Can you drink too much caffeine? Absolutely. Can you drink too much sugar free soda and not enough water? Most definitely. What is 100% always true though is that you can enjoy these types of drinks as a way to stop eating or drinking sugary food items. For example, I myself am a sweet tooth, so having Pepsi max gives me that sweet taste without the sugar to keep on track with my fitness goals. I also don’t drink coffee so my sugar free monster is my daily dose of caffeine. I NEVER have pre workout AND a monster on the same day though, which comes back to the moderation side of things. There’s no magical pill, no cookie cutter diet, and no sample workout that will get you the results you’re after. What you REALLY need is a SUSTAINABLE and ENJOYABLE meal plan and workout program that works for you, not against you. People assume dieting means to starve yourself and eat vegetables all day every day. People also assume cardio = guaranteed fat loss. Cardio can defini...tely be a factor of losing weight, but it’s not THE answer. I for one avoid cardio because I KNOW the true long term benefits of lifting weights. It’s night and day with the different benefits that weight lifting provides that cardio simply cannot.
