20.01.2022 The Moreton Bay Lions got up against Redcliffe yesterday at the Councillors Cup in a local darby. This proud tradition has been going for a decade now. I joined the Mayor Peter Flannery and the Burpengary and Redcliffe Councillors and cheered on the Lions to a 51 point victory!

15.01.2022 Trolleys! Any new shopping centre built, now has to put locking boots onto there Trolleys. Unfortunately we cant make Coles and Woolworths do it in old centres like Morayfiled. Coles and Wooleys have trolley tracker set up, but they dont go into parks or creeks and look for them. 12 months ago I fought to have trolley fines introduced . These fines are given to the trolley owners as a way of recouping costs to Council for the never ending clean up of them. ... I had hoped that this would encourage Coles and Woolworths to place a locking system on their existing trolleys but to date no luck. The massive new Dog Obedience facility alongside the sports grounds has opened up the ability to get fresh funding into this site. Myself and Cr Mark Booth worked with staff to get this included into the commercial redevelopment at the site. This is saving ratepayers a lot of money to do something we would have wanted later anyway. I cant wait until its open, thanks everyone for your patience.
