15.01.2022 A conceptual project to provide a shelter within a state forrest, with the verticality and external cladding a representation of the surrounding eucalypt and stringy-bark trees scattered throughout the forrest. The form of the Bom Bom Shelter provides a juxtaposition to the vast openess of the forrest itself, upon entry momentarily depriving the user of their surroundings through a bending journey of dimly lit and compressed height corridors. At journeys end, the users senses are heightened as a result of an exaggerated double height space bathed in natural light, allowing the user to sit, reflect and fully appreciate the external landscape from an internal protected space.
