13.01.2022 Snowy 2.0 has created thousands of local jobs and looks set to put the nation on a path to a low emissions future while helping communities which are doing it t...ough. The new project will link the existing Snowy scheme reservoirs Tantangara and Talbingo through 27 km of underground waterway tunnels. The $5.1 billion project has kick started the Snowy Mountain region’s economy by creating an additional 4,000 local jobs. The project will begin producing power for Australia in 2025.

08.01.2022 There's along story to this short video Had a day on lake Eucumbene yesterday it was perfect for spotting trout on the edge. These days I spend most of my time sight fishing in still water I think I’m addicted to this in fact, anyway it’s a pretty tough gig in Oz and every season has its challenges the water levels at the moment are perfect rising water over freshly flooded grass and this should continue until December . I had just spotted a good size brown and he had glided ...out a little deeper my only one for 2hrs or so but the little bay was a perfect haven for a brown trout so I waited patiently for his return and 15 or 20 mins later I was rewarded he ever so slowly cruised into sight just a shape at first I was fishing my normal technique dry with a dropper , as he moved closer I put a cast in about a metre in front and a metre to his left as he was coming straight at me the flies landed gently on the water he slowly turned and with a slow kick of his tail he moved up to the dry and inhaled it his gold flanks exposed by the bright sun then he slowly put his head down as the slack was taken up in the leader I slowly lifted my rod and set the hook . The next thing he broke thru the water and you could hear his tail slapping against the air as he plunged back down into the deep this went on for 5 or 10 mins him trying to put me on some snags and me trying to stay away from them , anyway this went on for a few more minutes the fly lost contact for no apparent reason and he was gone . His memory of the event may be forgotten but mine will be with me for a very long time a truly great days fishing without landing a fish . See more

06.01.2022 Eucumbene all set to fire up on opening day running fast and high

05.01.2022 What a perfect day to check out the top of the lake and it is looking awesome the fish have been hard to spot due to the background and the clear water is making them very spooky a few more warm sunny days and everything will swing in to action quiet few dragon fly feeders already

04.01.2022 Lake Eucumbene is still on the rise and looking very fishy I have mixed reports from Fly anglers from sensational to where are the fish so I would say the fish haven't got the message yet it will be another week or so until the flooded ground reaches the 2018 height so maybe the extra food on the edge will drag them in not much action at the moment .
