25.01.2022 Wholesome dog content to give your feed some good feels. Last Sunday, I teamed up with The Alleyway Cartel (cafe downstairs from my studio) to do some pop up studio dog portraits and raise money for RSPCA Victoria. Was a busy day and heaps of fun, plus we raised $400 with some help from Versus Merch which matched donations. Thanks to everyone who came out! Special thanks to Lauri for helping on the day! #murrumbeena #dogsofinstagram #popupstudio #doggos

Come grab a coffee, immortalise your pooch like Dobie here with a photo, and say hi to @laurijeanphotos and I. Do NOT slobber on my equipment though!

18.01.2022 10 images from this year I haven't shared (I don't post everything I shoot). Speaking kindly to myself today as 2020 winds down. Despite all my insecurities and hang ups, I think I need to acknowledge and be proud of the fact that I had the courage to leave something I've done for 10 years and pursue a new path of opening a studio. Some things went great, others didn't, others fell into the covid category, but I'm definitely proud of myself for what I've achieved this year and the opportunities that lay ahead. Big ups all who've believed in me along the way. I'm going to need you again in 2021! Never give up.

15.01.2022 New work shooting the latest Empire Clothing collection lookbook. Great to be back in the studio turning out new work, collaborating with awesome clients, and flexing on some creative!

Thanks to Pax for being the effortless talent that know I'm always going to enjoy shooting with. And thanks to Lauri for your help on the shoot. Lastly... only real men are comfortable enou...gh to eat lollipops. End

In this special episode, Traditional Owners from Gunaikurnai Country in Gippsland discuss the fundamental benefits of cultural fire to care for and heal Country. #documentary #beyondthefire #documentaryphotography #gippsland #victoria #bushfire

12.01.2022 So stoked to share this! First ep from Beena's Back, spotlighting the awesome businesses and their people in my hood. Meet Ericka and her team at Murrumbeena Wine Bar, which have recently reopened after an extended hiatus. Hear why Ericka loves the area and how she has overcome all that 2020 has thrown at her. Head to Murrumbeena Village for more.

12.01.2022 Brian shot for the Beyond the Fire documentary series. Beyond The Fire follows the stories of Australia’s unsung heroes as they band together to create life from ashes after the Australian Black Summer Bushfire Crisis. Meeting Brian, and other legends from the area, made this an incredible experience. Hs impromptu performance of The Man From Ironbark is something I'll never forget. With seven episodes shot and in production, I have over 1,000 images to share before January 2's premiere on Channel 10, so strap in!

10.01.2022 New business launched today Undefeater. Undefeater is now home to all my video production, and allows me to bring in other creatives to take on larger projects. Follow along as we have our first project and website locked and loaded to share this coming week.

09.01.2022 Getting after it in-studio with Zenelia Jewel and the talented Tayla. Flattering soft lighting that still makes the jewelry pop was the goal, and great products and talent made the rest easy.

09.01.2022 Beena's Back series trailer. In January I moved into Murrumbeena to set up my studio. We all know what unfolded since, but I really wanted to do something to get to know, and maybe even help, the local community here. So the end result is this series, which profiles local businesses in the "Beena" area, their challenges throughout 2020, and how they're bouncing back in this covid-normsl time. The series begins this Thursday and then every Monday/Thursday until at least Xmas (I may produce a few more so it's open ended). Please follow Murrumbeena Village to stay up to date! Thanks to the Murrumbeena community for making me feel so welcome, and let's get to making moves in 2021. Beena's Back!

07.01.2022 Having a studio space to create and be free (and store all my gear) was my big goal for 2020. Giving up a job I'd done for 10 years and taking this leap was huge for me. I didn't know how this year was going to play out, but it was an interesting one... But I don't regret a thing, and am so excited to open the studio up again on Monday. If I look back, I've been really lucky and have many blessings to count rather than focusing on everything that's been lost this year. Being proud, and living regret-free, is a pretty good feeling, and I plan on making the most of every opportunity going forward. These shot with Tenaya back in May, which feels like forever and a day ago. #melbournephotographer #studiophotography #sonyalpha #alphacollective #sonyportraits
