19.01.2022 This one really sparked that feeling of accomplishment We started with green and yellow walls and the old school rendered walls at that... which had cracks and imperfections you would expect of this era home We plastered over bricks (not something we usually do) but anything to help a client in a jam and keep our process rolling. ... As you enter each room you are met with a unique decorative high ceiling, sash windows, open fireplaces.... it’s a beauty! The ceilings have come up an absolute treat setting the tone for the new wall colour #snowballet. Some of the original timber was kept along with sneak peaks of brickwork restoring this one beautifully. 18.01.2022 Results, results, results... Another central delight and a client to melt your heart. We were approached by the owner and her family to give this central beauty an internal and external makeover. ... Challenge accepted!! We started on the inside with a clear run while the elderly yet vibrant owner stayed with family. After a lot of ceiling & wall preparation and removal of wallpaper that had been there way tooooo long! It was time to get the painting party started. Then came the exterior - the best part The owner was home and we spent many hours gardening (shared passion ) so giving everything a trim, removing all the growth from bottoms of rendered walls and giving a helping hand with removal of green waste and leaves for days was our absolute pleasure Off course this made the areas for painting that much more accessible and I’ll take any excuse to put the brush down for a minute. With the future in mind... we were painting for a future sale and to hopefully increase the value of the property and help achieve the best possible outcome for one of Nathan Avenues long time residents. The roof - pics to come As well as the entire brick exterior, eaves & fascia. The mission brown tiled window sill had to go, so they have now been merged into the brickwork using the same colour #pragmatic matte at 300% The eaves... that oh so classic fresh white feel along side #monument fascia and guttering. 11.01.2022 What’s with the colours? Sometimes you walk through a door to quote and the only thoughts running through your mind are.... We’re going to need a lot of tinted undercoat for this little pocket rocking unit! ... Starting with the ceilings, they were in desperate need of scrapping back and filling... repair, repair, repair before 4 coats needed to be applied to bring them back to life. Thankfully the walls were brick, which meant not so much preparation... but they were orange and purple so a lot paint was used to bring this unit back to earth...... tones! 03.01.2022 We have reached the last of the rainbow house We started this home back in July and worked our way though stage by stage. By sectioning the home into four zones it allowed the family of 4 to still live in the home relatively comfortable. ... As each zone was filled with dominant colour, it took a minute to prep right in order to change the colour palette of the entire home to grey and white. 02.01.2022 Child Care Centre Can you imagine painting with children wouldn’t happen! 4 massive weekends were reserved to knock over this one (kid free) ... With a lot of our clients being local businesses.... Thinking about closing the doors and loosing a day, a week .... I think our doors have been closed enough over the last 18 months, and we get it! Sooooo, we’re always happy to bend and pivot with our local business community! This was interesting all of the rooms had the walls carpeted (say what) so first that had to go, with a fair bit of glue residue..the wall sander became our best friend! After all the prep work was complete it was time to go that oh so fresh white.... everywhere!
