03.01.2022 For 20yrs the clients had put up with poorly installed crazy pavers in what was a totally under-utilised part of their garden. They decided to fix the area and set their minds on gabions as the retaining wall solution. So the the old retaining wall was removed and gabion retaining wall installed on an improved alignment. The crazy pavers were reused and laid in a series of patterns reflective of their journeys, in particular to South America. The bird carved in the sandstone ...slab is Suri the messenger god of Inca culture. The area is now 50% larger than it was previously, the old retaining wall timbers were used to build the new steps down to the lower area of the garden. The improved space integrates seamlessly with the existing garden giving the feeling it has always been an integral element of the gardens.
