14.01.2022 Our latest Volkswagen Amarok XXL (+650mm) extension is complete and ready to make the journey to its new owner in sunny Cairns, Queensland. Fitted to the vehicle is the 2440mm long Tradesman Tray painted Indium Grey. The tray also features a 2100mm Trundle Drawer, 2 x Steps and Polymer guards. 14.01.2022 What is the GVM for a Volkswagen Amarok XL or XXL wheelbase extension? The wheelbase extension alone will not alter the 3080kg GVM of your Amarok. Adaptive Manufacturing is however certified as a Second Stage Manufacturer to approve a Pedders GVM upgrade on pre-registered vehicles as part of our engineering process. This upgrade provides a GVM increase from 3080kg to 3305kg. 09.01.2022 New Volkswagens are fitted with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which is an intelligent active safety system that helps the driver to maintain control by intervening when things go wrong. What happens to the ESC when you extend the wheelbase of your Volkswagen Amarok, changing the geometry of the vehicle? In collaboration with Netherlands based company VETH Automotive, Volkswagen has put extensive time and funds into updating the ESC for these new long wheel-based models.... This ultimately means the Volkswagen Amarok XL and XXL ESCs will perform at the same level as the standard Volkswagen Amarok, and as Volkswagen AG intended. In other words, your Volkswagen Amarok XL or XXL knows it's longer.
