11.01.2022 Welcome Mikaela. Mikaela moved to Wollongong in 2012 to undertake her studies. Growing up in Cowra (Central West NSW) she loved all things outdoors and physical activity. This lead her to find a passion in physiotherapy and helping people overcome pain and disability. She completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science in 2015 at UOW and then completed a Master Physiotherapy at University of Sydney in 2017. ... Mikaela loves to treat sporting injuries, specifically to do with the knee and ankle, but also finds great joy in treating chronic pain and enabling people to return to enjoying life’s pleasures big or small. Her biggest achievement as a physiotherapist was being asked to travel to Samoa to work with the national team competing at the Pacific Games in 2019. She enjoys working with her patients to reassure them and maintain a goal orientated course of care. Outside of work you’ll find Mikaela soaking up some vitamin D at the beach, playing touch football or oztag and finding any fluffy dogs to play with. For any new private patient’s first appointment, we will be offering a 20% discount when booked in November only with Mikaela. If you know of anyone who needs to see a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist, give our friendly staff a call on 02 4260 8574 to make an appointment.
