That being said it’s time to open up the gyms NSW. If people’s mental health was truely of upmost importance you wouldn’t be opening pubs and poker machines during a public health crisis. You would be opening the very premises that directly address public health. Exercise is medicine. The jury is out. Clear evidence is readily available. Time to make some well informed decisions and allow gyms to operate. If We can have a beer at 11pm surrounded by 49 people in a room. 1 person per 4 sqm can carefully train at 7am for one hour. #exerciseismedicine #openthegyms @ Adapt Performance

No. Just like we cant go out to dinner or catch up with friends. So forget about that for now. We will come back to that later. For now. Change your mindset. 10.01.2022 Bob 72 years young deadlifting for his brain health . A University of Sydney study, published in the Neuroimage: Clinical journal, showed that six months of strength training slowed, and even halted, the degeneration in the hippocampus and its subregions a year after the exercise. The study consisted of 100 participants at high risk of Alzheimer's disease due to mild cognitive impairment (a decline in memory and other thinking skills despite intact daily skills). They were r...andomly split into four groups and given tasks including computerised brain training, strength training, a combination of the two and a control group. The participants doing strength exercises completed 90 minutes of supervised strength training (using dumbbells, weights or machines) each week for six months, according to senior author of the study Michael Valenzuela. "They did that for 45 minutes, twice a week, for six months and then we waited for 12 months and that's when we saw these really strong effects," he said. About a month ago, KD had a pretty bad calf injury, but with the pressure of the NBA finals, chose to accelerate his return even though most would consider him to be underprepared. This footage is taken of him in the first half... and what you see is a completely blown Achilles tendon. Its a devast...ating injury... with potentially career ending outcomes. KD is a free agent once the season ends, and, was likely to get one of the biggest contract offers... ever . Now, there is some doubt if hell ever play again (hes 30yrs old). So whats the moral of the story? - 1 Return to performance is a real thing... just because you can play doesnt mean you should. 2 Rushing your rehab has real, life changing risks, even if you want to act as if they dont exist (out of naivety or delusion).
