25.01.2022 The Goddess of race fitness demands a sacrifice. Time to cough up! Track is ready here at Adare! Practice isn't 'til 3pm so don't come before that. WILD WEST. So many thanks to Karen Pinnell, Mitch Pinnell, Meredith Bognar, Kylie Grant, Micko McNamara and Karmen Butler for putting in the sweat. #AdareXCtrack #wildwestxcoseries #gattonreadytorace #lockyerbeerup #singletrackheaven #handmadeflow #raceinnature #artisanalantidote

23.01.2022 8 days to go. In case you 8 too much in February. We can't w8.

23.01.2022 Make some history of your own. 9 days to go. Wild West Series Round 5 - Adare, March 10

22.01.2022 Working Bee number 3 is this Sunday from 7-9 (some will be out there from 6), text JP (0429 DIALJP) if you'd like to help. Sighting lap after work so bring your bike.

20.01.2022 The wind tried to blow us away today, but don't worry, we'll have it all spic 'n' span by Sunday. Time to race bikes! Braaap!

19.01.2022 TBT! Good times. And more to come!

19.01.2022 Chipping away. Another after-work evening session under the belt and we move tantalizingly close to a racetrack. Looking forward to seeing the performances that will unfold on this little ribbon of fun. Don't miss it. Braaap!

19.01.2022 Another day in paradise on a pre race week. An hour's ride (partly to enjoy what I have done, partly to recon what I haven't), then into it for another hour (or so) of prep. Three more chainsaw jobs, then back on the blower. I forget how pretty my track is with its makeup on. Thanks a million Doctor Grant and KP for the help - and Mitch and Mez yesterday. Teamwork makes the dream work. P.S. Shit it's running fast. P.P.S. As I've been saying for some 12-14 years now - if you build it, they will come.

19.01.2022 Phew, it's been a short, but intense prep since deciding 4 or 5 weeks ago to host the first Wild West Series round and I've again been truly humbled by the number of folks who have offered their help before raceday. There have been some hard furnace sessions in the recent heat, and this morning's was the last before raceday, so thanks to Dan and Will who were out to get us across the line. Hope to see you tomorrow https://online.mtba.org.au/ERegister.aspx?E=8625

17.01.2022 Yo peoples, Here at Adare we've run either a round of the Sunshine Series or the Qld XCO Championships (three state titles in total) every year since 2005. We were also one of the two foundation tracks of the Wild West series, and have been in there every year since. Right now though, I need a break from the XC hosting business, so for now Adare is finishing up on the SEQ racing calendar.... We've always put a lot of care into the tracks we present, and right now I have lots of things I need to devote time to. Honestly we've achieved all the race-hosting goals we ever had, and I know it would take a brand new surge of enthusiasm to give me the juice to present awesome Adare tracks in the future. Maybe the right person/club/idea will come along in ten minutes time and we'll fire right up again, or maybe the Wild West in March was Adare's last race. Time will tell. Either way, it's been a really special ride, and an honour and a privilege to share my special place with literally hundreds upon hundreds of people, so sincerely, thanks for dropping by and making it what it was. In national volunteer week, I also want to recognise and give thanks to anyone who has ever swung a machete, tied some bunting or turned a snag on the barby to help me run these events. And in particular some specific people have literally driven me along year after year with their selfless involvement. I refer to greatly cherished serial offenders like Ange Skirving and Dennis Cullen, Chris and Owen Cowell, Nathan Cowell, Andy Moyler, Caitlin Dore, Karmen Butler, Micko and Jacson McNamara, Baz Peacock, Grant from Gatton Power Sports and of course, Nicko, Mitch and Karen of the Pinnell Family. I'd also thank Lockyer Valley Regional Council for their continuous support. Anyone I forgot, I owe you a beer. I told JR about my decision early last week, so I'm sure that he is well on the way to finding a suitable replacement for our spot on the calendar, and life will go on, as it always does. For my part though, I hope to see you on the trail soon. JP

17.01.2022 Here we have the Deere in its natural habitat. Cutting in a kickass Junior track for Sunday morning. #2moresleeps #7amstartdontforget #adarexc #racingislyf

16.01.2022 It's getting awfully close! Bunting and signage going in. Don't forget, Heat Wave timing means 7am start this time round!

16.01.2022 4 Days until we RACE! Normal people don't race. They just do that other stuff. But you're not normal, are you?

15.01.2022 Okay so if Karen asks, we used 'the weedeater' to trim up on top of the ridge between Grandmas and Waldwuffel, okay? #youtookourmowerWHERE #mowersclimbmountains #adarexc #xcinthewild #whatswithallthesparks

14.01.2022 Entries are open for Adare. Come get some! This is going to be a classic Adare summer track - a super flowy C gradeable loop with two A/B appendages to boost the climbing and tech quotient for those looking for a bigger challenge. Overall a high average speed track designed to beat the heat, yet still send you home feeling like you've spent the morning racing your bike. Sandy soil, too, so if it rains, it's even better.

14.01.2022 6 days to go... Yewww!

09.01.2022 Working bee number 2 today as we build towards WWS1 on December 6, and a big thanks to Willow, Welma, Karen, Lesley and Peta (and Abby) who all braved the heat to massage out some sweet single track today. Thanks especially to Welma who drew the short straw and piloted the leaf blower in dusty conditions. Great work everyone!

06.01.2022 Behind us is 15 years of fun track designs, challenges, fierce competition on many levels and great social interaction as we shared Adare with hundreds upon hundreds of visitors. I wonder, has the last page been written? Or not?

05.01.2022 Walk the dog, check out the track. Prep is nearly finished, almost time to bunt for WWS1 at Adare. Exciting to bring back online a few tracks that have been left "fallow" as we say here in the veggie bowl of the Locker Valley!

05.01.2022 Adare will race again! Wild West Series Rd.1 20/21, December 6, Adare Homestead.

04.01.2022 Imported ribbons of red. Some nice clay from Colby's next to next door to build up a trustworthy camber on a track soon to have its first race. Hard work though - thanks Peta, Will, Mary and Mitch for the shovel work. You rock!

04.01.2022 XC in the Wild! Come to Wild West 1 at Adare on December 6 see this guy in the flesh (the lizard - although Mitch may be there too).

03.01.2022 Hello sports fans, don't forget (and remind everyone you know) that we're on Heat Wave timing this time round, which means 7am race start. Because obviously if anyone turns up aiming for an 8am start they're going to be sorely disappointed at the head start they've spotted the field.

01.01.2022 Heard you were coming, decided to spruce the place up a bit. #AdareXCtrack #wildwestxcoseries #handmadeflow #gattonexcited
