17.01.2022 Lesson learned! I wrote this after joining one of the well-known, hands-on radiology courses in Australia. It was a big disappointment for me to find out that the course missed many basic aspects despite being offered by the same ADC exam center. I paid $250 for a 2-hour session, which depended on a short discussion with a nice dental assistant. They then handed us 7 films and left us wondering what was next. Guess what was next: another assistant showed us some of our films ...while we crowded around her computer. She was clueless about who's film was on the screen! Well done guys! We came back home with no achievements and new information except a handful of tips offered by one of the assistants and the opportunity of meeting the x-ray manikin dude! A few days later, I had to start from scratch, reading, searching, and connecting the hints given to me by the nice assistant, which I wrote down to plan my actions on exam day. My success in this task is owned solely by my efforts, which I am sharing with you in this bulletin. Some pages are attached for you. The most important home's set up stuff include: A- At least Colombia typodont with checks.... B- Portable Dental Turbine Unit with 3-way syringe or Mobile Dental Unit. C-Burs for cavities and crowns prep as discussed in our guides. My advice is (fewer burs is best) D- Finishing and polishing burs as discussed in our guides. E- Mirror, probe, tweezer, periodontal probe (good one)small and large condenser, ball burnisher small and large, Hollen back carver, and matrix band with a retainer. 2- purchase practice teeth either affordable replica from china or genuine one from one dental 3- know the criteria of your exam tasks get information regarding how to fulfill those criteria.
