14.01.2022 As we move into times of mandatory mask wearing, our hearing impaired friends and family will be facing added challenges to communication. The attached gives a great summary of tips we can use to effectively communicate with masks. Stay safe everyone.

13.01.2022 Here’s some of the things we are doing to keep everyone safe at both clinics: Sanitising all work surfaces and equipment including door knobs, computer keyboard and seats with Antiseptic Solution containing 70% alcohol between each client interaction. Practising 1.5m social distancing, at the reception counters and during consultations (when possible). Hand washing, as recommended, before and after every client interaction.... Phone and email support to troubleshoot hearing aid issues before initiating face to face contact. Clients are encouraged to post in repairs if needed. Posting batteries and other consumables to clients as requested. Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves and masks are available should a client request it. Hand sanitiser rub available to all, at reception and in clinics. Hearing tests performed using single use/disposable insert ear plugs. Otoscopy performed using single use/disposable ear speculum. Ear wax removal performed using sterilised wax removal tools. Reducing equipment handling for the client. Eg removed patient response button when testing hearing. Ask us if there are any further concerns

13.01.2022 Im staying at work for you, you need to stay at home for me.... Taking this advice from the Victorian Ambulance Union to remind my lovely clients to stay home and seek medical care if they exhibit the COVID-19 symptoms pictured. Self isolation is also vital in containing this disease if you have been travelling in the last fortnight or if you have been in contact with any infected individuals.

12.01.2022 Imagine not being able to hear your loved ones...

02.01.2022 Ok friends, after 2 years in the business, I finally am coming close to getting a logo for AddHEARING. Here are 4 possibilities. Please let me know which one I should pick for my business cards and letter heads. The concept Im trying to convey is Adding Hearing back to life - restoring the sounds that hearing loss takes from you - sounds of birds, laughter, music etc... So let me know of your thoughts :)

01.01.2022 Happy Holidays everyone! AddHEARING Hearing Services Endeavour Hills is now closed until 2nd of January 2014. Eat up and be merry, but remember to protect those ears from those loud Christmas crackers! :)
