25.01.2022 Investing in your 'basic' branding stationery is as important as choosing the right shopfront or business location. It's about professionalism - if you present badly "in print", you undermine all your hard work elsewhere... Cutting corners can cost you business in the longer term!

Makes it easy to get on with the job when the atmosphere is working for you!! (.... albeit sunburnt on the back of my legs, ha!). Next step: catalogue production... (the big one!).

08.01.2022 Your BUSINESS LOGO is your "professional visual identity" in the marketplace. It's a tool to be instantly recognisable to your customers, but also needs to make you stand out against your competitors. Visually speaking, it says volumes about the type of business you are and how you see yourself in your field. A poorly designed logo can cause a truckload of issues - it may not be immediately apparent, but the residual effects will certainly be there in the longer term. Poo...r readability, badly chosen fonts or colours, unappealing positioning, inconsistent use over all your branding - these can all lower your branding profile, and make you appear far less professional than I'm sure you'd like to be! Investing in a professionally designed logo is one of your smartest business decisions. You need look only at the big players in any given field to see the quality of their business branding. Succinct fonts, colours, shapes - their consistency reigns supreme. Whilst a graphic designer's job is to help put concepts into reality - not all designs are created equal! Work with someone who can tell you WHY they have created what they have - there has to be a reason behind their methodology! Good branding is well worth the initial investment - and worth adhering to well into the future! Example - a logo design for one of my footwear company clients - as a sub-brand to their major line. Fonts are complimentary to their original company branding, but also reflect easy readability, easy to print onto the soles of the shoes and packaging (silver print on black background), and is sleek and professional - in line with the quality and price point of the footwear that it caters for. This was my brand name suggestion aswell, after a brainstorm session with the managing director, in consideration of the product, competition and our target market. Logo has since been trademarked.

08.01.2022 Been a long time between chats!! So where have I been, I hear you ask?! Went back to fulltime work here in Bathurst for the last couple of years, doing all things marketing, design, photography and office for a footwear company! AD went into back-burner mode for a little while, but have been routinely doing 'freelance' work for my existing clients when they needed me. Have a stack of new portfolio goodies to showcase over the coming weeks! PS: End of Financial Year is on its way. Let me know if you need anything.. And just for giggles, I'll match the price offer in the post below from nearly three years ago, ha!
