23.01.2022 Some more happy campers from late February ~ "Addie's Place was the perfect spot for a weekend in Goolwa and easy walking distance to most amenities and the wharf precinct. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and loaded with character. We appreciated the owners extra touches and great breakfast supplies." (Feb 25th 2019) "We stayed for two nights with our toddler and had a fabulous time. The location was perfect being walking distance to the Main Street and the... walking path along the river and just a short drive to the beach. The house was perfect. So clean and well maintained with a beautiful garden out the back for our toddler to enjoy the provided activities. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and made our stay that bit more comfortable than anywhere else we have stayed in Goolwa. We will be recommending Addie’s Place to all of our friends as family and will definitely be coming back again. The first accommodation in Goolwa we will be coming back to. Thank you!!!" 19.01.2022 Although the waters are getting a bit chilly for taking a dip, there's still plenty to see along our coastline! Southern Right Whales have started to return to our waters for their annual calving ~ stay up to date with their current locations by visiting the South Australian Whale Centre. https://www.facebook.com/sawhalecentre/

08.01.2022 HONEY, I SHRUNK THE B&B! My absolute favourite thing at Addie's Place isn't something that everyone gets to see ~ It's the miniature cottage! The previous owner Eldon Zimmerman and his wife, Mary, were great lovers and creators of miniature historic buildings and horse drawn vehicles. When the house was sold to us back in 2004, The Zimmermans left the house to me (Lauren, Pete and Sandy's daughter & main Admin) and my sister, who were little girls at the time. It doesn't look exactly like this inside Addie's anymore, but it's a good representation of how the house was when purchased. Much of Eldon and Mary's work is now stored in the YMCA building in 'Meldonfield' up at Peterborough, where they moved to.

07.01.2022 Still got plenty of dates left over the Summer Holidays!

05.01.2022 When Peter says he's popping around to Addie's to mow the lawn.

02.01.2022 Are you planning a trip to the South Coast these school holidays? Make sure you include a trip on the world famous Cockle Train! Trains operate daily between Go...olwa and Victor Harbor and are scheduled to be hauled by 1913 built steam locomotive Rx207. Trains depart Goolwa at 10am 12.15pm and 2.45pm. Trains depart Victor Harbor at 11am 1.30pm and 3.45pm (final train of the day from VH does not return). A trip the whole family will love! All Aboard!

02.01.2022 Can you guess who ol' lanky legs is? It's Peter (and lil' sis, Judy) out the front of Addie's in 1962. If you zoom in you can see the school up the far end of Loveday Street.

02.01.2022 Looks like a great evening!
