If you have always wanted to try ballet, but feel more like a baby elephant than an elegant swan, these classes are for you.... This is the must-attend class for adults wanting to explore their love of ballet. These class series are targeted to those who have never stepped foot in a ballet or barre class before. Over 10 weeks, you will learn the fundamental positions of the feet and arms, explore ballet terminology and be shown correct technique within a safe environment, while working up to taking a full ballet class. This is right before their performance at the SASDS Eisteddfod two weeks ago, where they won 3rd Place amongst many ballet students MUCH younger than them! 19.01.2022 Hello Adelaide Adult Ballet Company Friends. I'm putting a call out to see who is interested to perform with us this year. Last year we had a group of Adult Ballerinas and Danseurs perform at the SADS Eisteddfod in October. We were awarded 3rd place against groups MUCH younger than us, and had a great time, and made lovely friends along the way.... Our 2020 group is about to start, so I'm taking expressions of interest: We currently have enough to make up a Level 2 Group (Rehearsals Thursdays 7.15-9.30pm), but are still looking for numbers to make a Level 1 Group (Rehearsals 12-2.30pm Saturdays). Rehearsals will go for 14-15 weeks (with an info session one week prior) - you must plan to attend 12 out of the 14/15 weeks. Ie, if you are going to be away on holidays for 3 of the weeks, it won't work for you to be in the group this time. You will be required to attend weekly rehearsals, as well as the ballet class the hour prior to rehearsals. I'd like to propose a road trip to the Hamilton Eisteddfod - to perform Sunday 14th June. Drive there Saturday 13th, drive back Monday 15th or evening of Sun 13th. This is my home town, and I'd love to take you all back there. The Eisteddfod is a really high standard, and people come from all over SA and VIC. My ballet teacher has offered to take us for a rehearsal at my old studio on the Sat or Sun morning. The other Eisteddfod is in Adelaide - Can Dance Festival on 4-7 July. You can choose to go to both Hamilton and Adelaide, or just Adelaide, but we need 5 people minimum per troupe to go ahead. We would need to start rehearsals on Sat March 15th (Level 1) and Thurs March 19th (Level 2), with an info session the week prior on Sat 8th and Thurs 12th. There would be a costume fee, and fees to attend classes and rehearsals. I need to enter the Eisteddfods by March 2nd, so please let me know ASAP if you are keen to join the group, Andrea x

10.01.2022 **EXCITING ANNOUNCMENT** I am very excited to announce a partnership between The Barre Clinic and DanceAlive. Rejane Garc...ia, of DanceAlive, and I met last year and instantly hit it off. We both have a shared passion of dance and love inspiring others to move their bodies. Rejane moved to Adelaide about a year ago, and prior to that she ran an DanceAlive, an Adult Dance group and company in the UK. We are so blessed now to have Rejane in Adelaide. Through the partnership of The Barre Clinic and DanceAlive, Rejane will now be taking our Adult Ballet Classes as well as adding Body Conditioning and Contemporary Dance to our timetable. DanceAlive also runs adult dance performance groups, of which I am definitely joining the ballet group. I can't wait to get on that stage again!!! Rejane creates beautiful shows, choreographs great events and delivers outstanding classes/workshops. I'm really excited to have her join us in the studio!
