21.01.2022 Small and medium hotels can apply for a grant of up to $25k for energy efficiency projects to reduce their energy costs and help lower emissions, with $10.2m in... available grants under the Hotel Energy Uplift Program. Small and medium hotels, motels and serviced apartment complexes with 1-99 guestrooms, that are not in or on a residential property or plot can apply for grants for between $10k-$25k. The grant money can be used to help small and medium hotels save energy and reduce power bills through: upgrading equipment to reduce energy consumption upgrading the building fabric to save energy, such as improving windows, drapes or insulation undertaking energy management activities and assessments, such as energy audits and engineering feasibility studies for energy efficiency upgrades investing in energy monitoring and management systems.
