25.01.2022 REMINDER: No School of Excellence training tonight 24.10.2016

25.01.2022 Due to the public holiday Monday 12th June there will be no school of excellence training and no Pre Academy training. Sessions will resume as normal on Monday 19th June. Regards SOE coaching staff

25.01.2022 The Adelaide Comets Junior coaching program has been boosted with the inclusion of Senior Player Mateusz Kuzmicki. Mateusz will be passing on his wealth of knowledge to the Under 7 group of players at the Adelaide Comets along with up and coming Comets Prospect Tom Cyganov - "Ziggy" Mateusz is a former product of the famous Belgium Club Brugge Academy and also had the honour of captaining his country at U17 level. The School of Excellence welcomes Mateusz to the Adelaide Comets Family.

24.01.2022 The School of Excellence development program commences on Monday the 8th August from 630pm. Due to the amount of cancelled training sessions that has impacted the Comets teams to train, the first two sessions of term 3 will be provided FREE OF CHARGE for all Comets players. 21.01.2022 Due to the extreme weather warnings for Adelaide all trials have been cancelled for tonight Wednesday 28th September. Friday trials are still scheduled as per the calendar dates. Further updates will be available from the Comets website/Facebook and SOE pages.

18.01.2022 Term 3 of the School of Excellence has been postponed to Monday the 8th of August. Having attended Ellis Park today the pitch conditions are improving but it has been decided to commence Term 3 on the above date. We apologize for the current weather distruptions. 15.01.2022 We would like to welcome Johnny Maitianos to the Adelaide Comets Pre Academy Squad. Johnny has been attending the School of Excellence program for over 12 months and plays in the Adelaide Comets Under 9 age group. Johnny has a passion to play at Manchester United and given his dedication, love and flair for the game we are here to assist in the Pre Academy program for him to reach his goals. Welcome Johnny from all at the Pre Academy players and coaching staff.

13.01.2022 The school of excellence program recommenced for 2017. Some of the Comets 7-8 year olds were joined by senior players Nathan Andijanto and Maarten Boddaert enjoying a kick on a warm Adelaide afternoon.

12.01.2022 The Adelaide Comets School of Excellence would like to congratulate all Teams and coaches on what has been one of the most successful seasons in the clubs history. The club secured two Junior Premier League Championships with Gus McCrae - Under 14 JPL and Dimitri Panagis - Under 15 JPL taking the title in their respective divisions. Our 12 JPL, 13 JPL also did the club proud, finishing runners up which will see 4 of the 6 Junior boys teams competing in the JPL A Division in 2017. We would also like to congratulate Martin Radcliffe and his Under 13 girls for winning the cup final in what has been a great year for our female participants with over 120 players playing at the Adelaide Comets. We look forward to a bigger year in 2017. Thank you to all the sponsors, supporters, parents and volunteers from the School of Excellence team.

12.01.2022 Senior Players Nathan Andijanto and Dutch recruit Maarten Boddaert will play an integral part in the development and education of all participants in term 1 of the School of Excellence program. Term 1 commences for all Comets players aged 6-8 on Monday 27th February, 530pm to 630pm, Ellis Park.

08.01.2022 The Adelaide Comets school holiday program. It was a great week with all attendees and we are happy that all the players had a fun 3 days learning new skills an...d techniques with Eddie Briscoe and Dimitri Panagis. Thank you to special guest coach, Kevin Mbuti for attending on day three. Kevin has been been in Australia for the last few months playing in the National Premier League Senior team after arriving from English Championship club Doncaster Rovers in July. Future clinics will be advertised shortly on the Adelaide Comets website.

07.01.2022 The Adelaide Comets School of Excellence program returns Monday the 27th February, 2017. We look forward to once again delivering a high quality development program in 2017 led by the clubs Technical Director Steven Grelli and JPL Coach Matt Kladouris along with Special Guest Coaches and Senior players Nathan Andijanto and Maarten Boddaert. All Vacancies are FULL for the remainder of the year for the Monday night sessions but stay tuned for further information and some exciting developments.

07.01.2022 The Adelaide Comets School of Excellence program returns for 2018. In 2017 the School of Excellence Program was provided as an internal club program, providing all registered players aged 6-11 years old the opportunity to advance their key core skill sets to advance their football experience. With the inclusion in registration, the program was at capacity in playing numbers allowing only a minimal intake of external players. In 2018, the program has increased its coaching st...aff to allow for external applicants to participate throughout the year. A restructure of the program in 2018 will see the School of Excellence underpin the clubs internal pathway program consisting of: Pre Academy Internal Players aged between 10 and 11 years old Boys Academy Internal Players aged between 12 and 14 years old Girls Academy Internal Players aged between 12, 13 and 14 years old The Pre Academy and Academy program is an internal program only. Players are identified and selected within the club that demonstrates a high level of ability, attitude and commitment to advancing their football skills to the highest level. In 2017, the Adelaide Comets provided an opportunity for players aged 13-15 to partake in a tour of the UK which involved playing games against professional academies, attend EPL and Champions League games, stadium tours and much more. The Majority of players that attended the tour were from the clubs inaugural academy program in 2016. They were given the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities to professional coaches and we as a club, were provided the opportunity to compare our development programs to full time academies. The tour was a fantastic success and as a club we will be ensuring that we provide this opportunity to further generations of players to come. With any football development pathway, there is always a start point and we believe the School of Excellence Program is a fantastic way for players to be introduced and involved in taking the first step to a progressive career at the Adelaide Comets. External applications are now open to players wishing to participate in the School of Excellence Program for 2018. Full list of dates are available on the School of Excellence Facebook page. 05.01.2022 Adelaide Comets UK Tour 2017

05.01.2022 Johnny Maitianos being a proud match ball holder leading out the Adelaide Comets at tonight's FFA Cup semi final against Cumberland. The senior team won 2-1 to advance to the final at Coopers stadium on the 25th of June. Congratulations to Theo Tsiounis and all the players.

05.01.2022 Due to severe weather warnings to set in tonight there will be no pre academy training. Sessions will resume next Monday as usual.
