21.01.2022 Cataracts - What are the symptoms: - In early stages, cataracts may have little effect on your sight but with time you may notice blurred or cloudy vision, distortion or double vision or there may be glare sensitivity. When cataracts become bothersome or start to interfere with daily activities or quality of life, it may be time to consider surgery. 19.01.2022 Meet the founders of Adelaide Eye Surgeons, Dr Edward Greenrod and Dr Dania Qatarneh. Dr Edward Greenrod grew up in Adelaide and graduated on the Dean’s list from the University of Adelaide Medical School. He completed his Specialist Ophthalmic training in Melbourne followed by post-graduate work both interstate and overseas. His experience includes sub-specialty management of complex conditions of the front of the eye with particular expertise in the management of cataract s...urgery, corneal conditions and other anterior segment (front of the eye) surgery. Dr Dania Qatarneh graduated with honours from Cambridge University Medical School. She then completed her Ophthalmology registrar training at the renowned Moorfields’ Eye Hospital in London followed by two years of sub-specialist fellowship training in medical retina and uveitis at Moorfields’ and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospitals. She has extensive experience with retinal lasers, cataract surgery and intra-vitreal injections. Additionally, her special areas of expertise include Diabetic eye disease, Age-related macular degeneration and retinal vascular disease.
