08.01.2022 The Adelaide River Show features a campdraft, rodeo, polocrosse and gymkhana. Polocrosse has to be seen to be believed. It is a goal game combining elements of ...polo and lacrosse. Played on horseback in teams of six, a rider must use a cane or fibreglass stick with a loose thread racquet net, to carry the ball across the field. The ball is made of sponge rubber and is approximately four inches across. The objective is to score goals by throwing the ball between the opposing team’s goal posts.
