18.01.2022 REMEMBER: Chocolate is poisonous for dogs and other pets! Please SHARE this message to help keep your pets safe this Easter. Their gorgeous "gimmie that chocola...te bunny" faces may be hard to resist, but it's important to hold your ground and keep chocolate well away from your precious pets. THE DANGERS OF CHOCOLATE FOR YOUR PETS: The cocoa used in chocolate contains a compound called theobromine which is toxic for dogs and other animals. Chocolate poisoning is a problem that occurs mainly in dogs but also occurs occasionally in cats or other animals. WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR: The symptoms of theobromine ingestion may include vomiting, diarrhea, increased drinking, increased urination and seizures. In some cases, the poisoning can be fatal. WHAT TO DO: The best option is prevention. Ensure your pets cannot accidentally access any of your chocolate supplies! (That also means more for you!) If your dog or pet has ingested chocolate (even a small amount) you should contact your local veterinarian as soon as possible for advice.

Our beautiful Canine Companions are kept safe from this sort of cruelty through laws of registration etc. The local Council keep tabs on dogs, puppy farms etc, but sadly don't have the power to do the same for these beautiful creatures (yet) Please donate, even if its only a few dollars ....... 04.01.2022 Hello friends :-) Introducing Byron !! A regular visitor here with us - and what a zest he has for life he has ! As you can see Byron has had his front leg amputated. Byron is, sadly a result of a puppy farm :-( Consequently, due to a huge deformity with his leg, it had to be removed. I have been researching everything from prosthetics to supports to help this boy get around a little bit easier and ease the future discomfort of muscular pain and bone fatugue in his l...eg and shoulder, due to the impact and stress these bones and muscles are under. Please put forward your ideas, as they will be invaluable. As you can see my #2 picture, Byrons fore-quarter is much lower than it should be, his shoulder and leg is under a lot of stress, causing it to bow outward, pic #3 gives you a bit of an idea. I was thinking of a vest type brace, made from wetsuit material and Velcro, would assist in supporting his shoulder, however that will still leave a lot of stress on his leg. I adore this boy, he is a very very special furkid <3 ok, give me your ideas, and lets put this plan into action. :-) Thank you people Pauline xxx

01.01.2022 This boy melted my heart. Beautiful "Byron" What this adorable boy lacks in 'legs' he sure does make up for in spirit. I don't think Ive met a furbaby that loves life as much as this boy does Remember the #1 rule..... no pets on the furniture!! ;-)
