25.01.2022 Social Night April 26th 7.30pm Talk and demonstration by John Whitney black pen drawing Drawing is Johns main love, in the med...ium of pen and ink, coloured pencils and pastels. He has been involved in many art projects, and has been an Artist in Residence at some eighty schools throughout the state, doing murals and painted poles and workshops in printmaking and sculpture. He has worked all over the state with more than a hundred and sixty murals painted, either solo or with schools and community groups. John has many art experiences to relate and is a consummate artist. It will, Im sure, be a great evening!! Chris Braham ALL WELCOME. Bring some supper to share.

09.01.2022 Wonderful Spring exhibition opened today. Here's a quick look....

09.01.2022 Hi Members Our first Social Night for 2019 will be on Friday 22nd of February, 7.30pm. We are thrilled that Daniel Connell has agreed to be our presenter. He wi...ll talk about his work and do a charcoal portrait demonstration. The model will be a surprise well-known identity. Daniel Connell is a teacher at the Adelaide Central School of Art. He has a Master of Visual Art and is currently a PhD candidate at UniSA, where he is investigating portraiture as a socially engaged practice. Daniel has been a finalist in the Doug Moran Portrait Prize, The Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize, and The Fleurieu Art Prize. He has undertaken multiple commissioned projects for SALA Festival and OzAsia Festival and was invited to exhibit in the second Kochi Muziris Biennale (KMB) of Contemporary Art when he also completed a residency with the KMB Foundation and Arts in Medicine program. Daniel has also been highly commended in the Australian Arts in Asia Awards. As well as in Asia, India in particular, he has created public art projects in the UK, Europe, US and Canada. He holds degrees in Spanish Language and Latin American Studies, has a Diploma of Education and is currently studying Hindi language. We look forward to seeing you all there.

07.01.2022 Next Social Night, Friday 29th March, 7.30pm with Lyn Robins Multi-media Landscape Demo using water-colour, oil pastels and black pencil (Staedtler Mars Lumograph 8B). Lyn Robins is a well-known and respected artist in Adelaide. She paints in a wide range of mediums using a variety of subjects and has exhibited extensively. She has a broad art teaching background, having taught in secondary and tertiary education and is currently teaching adult classes in her own studio. ... Lyn has a bright and engaging style of presentation and this evening will no doubt be another interesting Social Night for members to enjoy. See you there!! ALL WELCOME. Bring some supper to share.
