Ive worked here for nearly 9 years and whilst Ive got so many amazing memories, a recent highlight would have to be Hilltop Hoods I loved the atmosphere of the sell-out crowd and the guys put on such a great, high energy show! A f...ew other favourites would be Post Malone (2019), So Pop (2019), P!nk (2018) and any of the Adelaide 36ers basketball games. . ? Ive kept myself busy by catching up with friends and family (via video calls); exercising (Ive loved doing yoga, going for runs and taking my dog for walks at the beach / local parks); and listening to podcasts. . ? There are so many SA places I love to visit! Since intrastate restrictions lifted Ive taken trips to Port Lincoln, Victor Harbor, Robe and Mannum. My favourite SA destinations include Port Lincoln and Streaky Bay for their beaches, as well as McLaren Vale and the Barossa Valley for their wineries. . ?. How important it is to keep in touch with your family and friends, and that you should never take anything for granted! What are your favourite artists? Read on for Joes favourite #AECMemories and tips for keeping entertained. . #? Ive been a part of the AEC team since November 2019 and really enjoyed the Adelaide 36ers games. In my role I get to see the amount of work that goes into the 36ers game day behind the scenes and the effort they put in to create an atmosphere that is really ...exciting and entertaining. Its such a family friendly environment, my entire family are now big fans and cant wait for the new season to start in December. . ? I enjoy playing guitar, board games with the family and listening to rock, blues or country music (sorry, country just had to slot in there!!) . ? 18.01.2022 Counting down to the weekend with another round of 'The Friday Four'. This week is one for the Metal fans as Simon Sczesny, Turf Manager - Coopers Stadium, shares his faves! . #? Some of my favourites include Slayers farewell show, Metallica & Motley Cru. I love shows in the Theatre which offer a bit more of an intimate atmosphere. Slayer were heavy as hell and certainly didn't disappoint - you could feel the heat coming off the stage with all the ...flames and pyro effects, which just added to the intense atmosphere. . ? Just prior to lockdown we bought two Mini Lop bunnies - 'Socks' & 'Officer Hops'. My kids absolutely love them, and house training them certainly kept us busy during that initial lockdown period. . ? We're heading to Robe in the coming weeks. It's such a beautiful location & will be great to support their local community! . ?. Coopers Stadium had to be maintained so I've been working throughout. Being able to keep that routine gave me a sense of normality to navigate what were certainly unprecedented times. Metal fans - who was at the Slayer concert last year??! Share your fave AEC moments by tagging us in your photos! #AECMemories

Grinspoon(2019) never fail to put on a flawless rockin show, and you cant go past the punk rockers blink-182 (2004). . ? I enjoy keeping fit and setting weekly goals at the gym, playing XBOX, watching Netflix or learning new chords on the Guitar. All that said, my pets are always the best the entertainment! . ? Victor Harbor is always a favourite and I cant wait to get back to Kangaroo Island and show my support following summers devastating bushfires. . ? Kindness always matters! Never take anything for granted, appreciate what you have, set yourself goals, be awesome and wash your hands!

11.01.2022 : Were stepping back to the 90s with today's 'Friday Four' as one of our longest serving team members, Ben Jones (Event Operations Manager) shares some of his all-time fave #AECMemories, along with tips for keeping entertained. Total blast from the past - who remembers these amazing gigs?!! . #? ... Ive been at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre since its grand opening in 1991, so theres plenty of highlights. My all-time favourite event has to be the Summersault Festival in the late 90s; there were stages in the car park, people everywhere, an amazing vibe & the Beastie Boys as headliners! Another fave - also from the late 90s - was the Red Hot Chili Peppers with (at the time) new-comers Silverchair as their support act. An incredible show, the place went ballistic! . ? With three teenagers there's never have a dull moment. My wife has turned me into an Outlander tragic, which I have really enjoyed. . ? We love Marion Bay on the Yorke Peninsula or a houseboat on the Murray River. . ? Ive started cycling again to keep myself busy. Also...social distancing & wash your hands so we can free ourselves of this virus & get back to live shows!

I love the excitement that buzzes through the office on event days. My ultimate favourite concert would have to be Grinspoon. Their show late last year was out of this world such incredible energy! The song Hard Act To Follow was absolutely incredible, and the Chemical Heart confetti cannon was unexpected and such a ...fun way to finish up one of the greatest concerts Ive ever been to. Green Day and Hilltop Hoods come in a close second. . ? With two kids we are always busy but I enjoy taking our puppy Freddie for walks, listening to our record collection, making pasta, gardening and renovating our bathroom. All that said, nothing beats a nice glass of Wicks Sauvignon Blanc and the Gilmore Girls! . ? We head to Kingston South East for quality family time filled with beach walks, paddle boarding, ice cream and fun in the sun. Lets be honest thoughI regularly dream about a visit to the local pub for a pint and chicken schintty! . ? To enjoy lifes simple pleasures. Whether that be more time with the family, more nature beach walks or homemade cooking and DIY around our new house. Ive learnt to appreciate the little things. 07.01.2022 Oh, what a year! 2020 has been unlike anything we’ve ever experienced or expected, and we’ve certainly missed seeing clients at AVM’s venues - Adelaide Entertainment Centre, Adelaide Convention Centre and Coopers Stadium, along with AVMCatering. For those of us in the events industry, this year has reinforced the importance of creativity, innovation and thinking outside the box. So, as we get back into the ‘groove’ of business, we have put together this short video to highlight our commitment to reinvigorating the local economy. Special thanks to Adelaide-based singer Chloe Castledine and her band members from ‘The Cast’, along with Bill Spurr AO, Chair of the AVM Board. We had fun making this clip and hope you enjoy!

06.01.2022 Tonight (30 June) were joining several iconic buildings across our City, including our sister venue, the Adelaide Convention Centre, in lighting up green as part of the global Go Green for Parks celebration. This global event was a concept initiated by the New York City Parks Department in recognition of staff who have maintained parks, recreation and open space for community health and wellbeing, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Were fortunate to be based in a city in a park with so much green space around us to help keep us physically and mentally active, and say a big thank you to those staff involved in maintaining these areas. To learn more about this global celebration, visit https://bit.ly/AdlGoGreenforParks.
