06.01.2022 There are many advertisements out there of firewood being sold "by the trailer load". This is not an accurate unit of measurement when it comes to firewood. Any reputable firewood seller will be able to weigh their wood via a registered weighbridge. This is the only way to guarantee you are getting what you pay for. Redgum firewood fluctuates between $400 and $440 RRP per tonne in Adelaide. this translates to 40c-44c per Kilogram of firewood.... An 8x5 trailer load can vary hundreds of kilograms depending on the size of the wood, the way it is stacked in the trailer and the density of the firewood. Recently I have seen examples online of people paying $1 per kilo... $1000 per tonne!! Please purchase from a reputable and sustainable source and support local business.
