As we venture into the halfway mark of the season Round 5 will start to sort out the men from the boys and the women from the girls. In our match of the round our little Cubs take on Adelaide Fusion. Both teams sit at 3rd and 4th respectively and a win will cement them in the top 4 whilst the loser may drop outside the top 4. Our Open Women’s take on Darcey FC. After there thrilling win last week they will look to consolidate top spot. Our Under 11 Girls take on Eastern United and will be looking to secure second position on the ladder. Our Under 13s face the undefeated Modbury Jets and will need to make every post a winner to take the win. Our Under 15s will be looking to secure there first victory of the season. They’ve found the going tough so far and luck definitely hasn’t been on there side but a loss may very well close the curtains on there season. Our Under 11s will start firm favourites in there fixture against Futsal Fury and our Under 10s will be looking to make it 14 games straight without a loss when they take on Blue Thunder. Both teams will be looking to gather momentum as we head just to the business end of the season. Our Under 9s suffered there first loss of the season last week and it won’t get any easier when they face top of the table ACFC Zebras. Our Under 14s have finally got there mojo going and should easily account for Yellow Thunder. In a season that has more twists than any other Round 6 promises to take the season to a whole new level. In our match of the round our Under 9s take on Adelaide Raiders. It’s 3rd vs 4th in a massive game for our team. A win will set them up in the top 4 but a loss may ensure the last few rounds will be do or die. Our Open Women and under 10a look to secure top spot when they face teams well below them. If they can secure victory it all but guarantees a semi finals spot It’s a case of so close but yet so far for our Under 15s who are yet to secure their first victory. A loss will pretty much count them out for finals contention. Our Under 8s also face the prospect of finishing outside the top 4 when they face the highly ranked United Rwd Devils. A win may very well see them secure a top 4 spot. If our Younf Lionesses secure victory they will be guaranteed a top 4 spot. The girls have been the highlight of the season. Meanwhile our Under 14s look to continue their March to the finals and a win will go a long way in making that a reality.
