25.01.2022 The Adelaide Hills Chamber Players is most excited to give a preview of our activities for 2021, with thanks to a grant of $50K from the SA Government. January: In a program of Romantic music, Sharon Grigoryan will direct from the cello desk and play solos with strings by Fauré and Tchaikovsky. Elizabeth Campbell will sing Schoenbergs curious arrangement of Mahlers Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen. June: From the leaders desk, William Hennessy AM will direct Bartoks Dive...rtimento and Tchaikovksys Serenade for strings. January and June: Jonathan Bligh of Festival Statesmen fame, will conduct concerts with our chamber singers in works by Schutz, Monteverdi, Bach, Schubert, Saint Saens, Faure, Lauridsen and other American moderns, some acapella and some with instruments. We are also most delighted that the Arts SA COVID grant has enabled us to commission Jakub Jankowski to write a major work for voices and strings which will premiere in June in Jonathans concert. Full details of the twin regional boutique fine music festivals embracing these and other concerts will be released in September. We'll keep everyone posted with more details!
