25.01.2022 A couple of weeks of self-isolation is a great opportunity to get the garden in order. Maybe plant some veggies for when the supermarkets have been stripped bare..... carrots, beans, peas, radishes, lettuce, beetroot, onions garlic and more.

22.01.2022 Adelaide Landscaping is continuing to operate (until lockdown). We're observing social distancing, and disinfecting tools and the vehicles at the start of every work day. #flattenthecurve

08.01.2022 If your vegetable crops have finished, time to plant a green manure crop. I find peas from the local fodder store are an economical choice. But you can't eat the peas. If you want something you can eat; sow snow peas and save some for next years green manure crop to make it economical and convenient.

07.01.2022 If you love a good lawn now is the time to treat your lawn for winter weeds ( when it's not raining ). Grab a spray mix from Bunnings and you'll have a thick lush lawn in spring instead of a crop of weeds ......

04.01.2022 Here's how I raise my veggies. This method will protect the seedlings from drying out and insect / snail attack. Once the plant reaches the mouth of the bottle, take the bottle away. But leave the PVC surround there as this will protect from snails and slugs (they don't like climbing over the sharp edge of the plastic). 1) Cut 90/75mm stormwater pipe rounds and cut down one side so you can get them off later. 2) Cut bottom off clear plastic drink bottles and place over secure with a bamboo stake / stick so they don't blow away.
