21.01.2022 This photo reads like a road map of the Adelaide Plains! With names like Pederick, Aunger, Rowe, Frost and Wasley, you could be forgiven for thinking this! Picture thanks to Trove

18.01.2022 We're excited! 7 days until the official opening of the Two Wells Village Green, hosted by Adelaide Plains Council. We can't wait until everyone is able to use this public space - bbq area, walking paths, nature play area and toilets. Plus it's right next to the Adelaide Plains Library in Two Wells! Bonus ;-) In the case of wet weather, please visit the Council's website www.apc.sa.gov.au for updates.

18.01.2022 Today, a visit to the Dublin Cricket Club and surrounds. Their new clubrooms look awesome, they’ve done a great job (with help from Drought Community Programme as well). Drone footage thanks to Complete Drone Services.

17.01.2022 In October 1934, instead of the Two Wells Agricultural show a Two Wells sports meeting was held instead (this was due to a date clash with the Adelaide Royal Show). There was sack racing, horse racing and trotting, egg and spoon race, musical chairs, relays, push bike races, motor racing, football, obstacle races and even a rooster chase. This picture is of the bun eating contest, of which Mr A Pratt was the winner. There aren’t a lot of details about the contest, but from the photo, we can surmise that the bun was on a string and no hands were allowed much like the donut eating games of our youth! This picture is thanks to Trove #Trove

07.01.2022 Libraries are great, ok? We might be biased, but we have a great product be it books, magazines, audiobooks, DVD’s, author events, school holiday activities, digital learning, Justice of the Peace Service and best of all, our people! If you haven’t yet discovered us, take a minute and do it, it’s definitely worthwhile. #librariesSA #libraries #onecard #SACouncils

04.01.2022 Early October sees us reminisce about the even older show days of the Two Wells Agricultural Society’s Show. This one is older than last week’s by 4 years (1906). Mr Manuel’s horses seem to have scooped the pool in winning the buggy, buggy pair and trolly pair. And who doesn’t love a good picnic! This picture is thanks to Trove.
