24.01.2022 Congratulations to Chilli Cowey who is our Christmas competition winner. It was a very hard decision as they were all adorable in their costumes. Thank you to everyone who entered.

23.01.2022 As 2020 draws to a close, the team at Adelaide Plains Veterinary Surgery would like to wish you all a Safe, Happy & Prosperous New Year. We look forward to seeing you all back with us in the New Year. Here is a look back at some of our 2020 memories.

20.01.2022 Josie came into us today for patella surgery. She is such a sweet girl but is also deaf. The nurses had to learn a few of the hand signals that her owners had been teaching her own special sign language. Most of all, I think she especially enjoyed the cuddles from our staff.

17.01.2022 Just a girl who loves her doggo.

17.01.2022 When you bring your pets in for a dental check often the vet will show you products to help in keeping their teeth clean. Hills TD Dry food is often recommended to aid in this. But, do you find your self thinking "does it really work"?. The following video demonstrates how.

17.01.2022 Harvey was such a good boy for his weigh in and vaccination tonight. He kept the staff entertained with his antics.

15.01.2022 To all of our wonderful clients & their fur kids, the team at Adelaide Plains Veterinary Surgery would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May you enjoy this time with your family, fur kids & friends.

14.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE. Our reception team have moved back to the main desk. You no longer need to check in at the side window. Please keep in mind that we can only have 8 client's in the waiting room at one time. We also ask to please observe the 1.5m social distancing rule.

13.01.2022 We are going to have some extremely high temperatures towards the end of the week & into the weekend, which puts our pets at risk of heatstroke. Ensure your pets have access to shade and fresh, cool drinking water at all times. If you suspect your pet has heatstroke, contact your Veterinary Clinic immediately..

13.01.2022 It's spring time. The season baby birds are hatching and leaving the nest. Before thinking every baby bird you see on the ground is in need of rescue, check out the chart for what to do.

12.01.2022 Last week we had Wilma the 13 week old British Bulldog who visited us for her vaccination. Dr Beth examined her and could feel a firm mobile object in her neck. The owners agreed to a endoscope to look down Wilma's throat. A few attempts were taken to grab what was visible & finally a whole plastic spoon was removed. The only symptoms Wilma had that a few times she had vomited and was not quite herself.

12.01.2022 Good Morning everyone, At the moment we have Dr Emma taking a well deserved break. As you know things get very busy at times and our vets are working hard to make sure we see your fur babies for their appointments on time. Unfortunately not all vet visits are planned & we have those emergency situations that may need to be seen before your pets appointment. This may cause your vet to run late for your appointment time. ... We apologize for any delays this may cause but you will be seen to as soon as possible. Any concerns or questions, please ask our friendly reception team. See more

12.01.2022 Vet Nurse Day Veterinary nurses are essential to the running of our vet surgery. They don't always get the recognition they deserve. With the ongoing pandemic this has been a challenging year for everyone, including our vet nurses trying to adapt to the "new normal". This is an opportunity to show appreciation to our vet nurses and acknowledge their efforts.
