20.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT // GOALKEEPER COACH The Adelaide Titans FC (ATFC) are delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Eliadis as goalkeeper coach for season 2021. Peter or FESTA as he is affectionately known is yet another great addition to the great coaching team appointed for next season. ... Club President Claude Malak was very pleased to make the announcement today Festa may have only just been with us since the start of this season but his amazing personality and attitude of doing whatever needs to be done around the club makes us feel like he has been part of our Titans Family forever. Our goalkeepers could not be in better hands and we are absolutely delighted he is on board. Presidents Cup Round of 16 matches with narrow losses to Old Ignatians Soccer Club (OISC) and St Peter's Old Collegians Soccer Club. A great effort by our teams to reach the knock out phase but sadly our involvement is now over for 2020. 15.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT // The Adelaide Titans wish to announce that due to off field commitments, Senior Coach George Katsa has decided not to continue on in his coaching role. Katsa was instrumental in the club’s championship winning season in 2018 and has been a great leader in 2020. Whilst it is disappointing that he will not be continuing on in his role, we are very pleased that he will still be very much part of the club. Club President Claude Malak said On behalf of everyone at ...the club, I wish to sincerely thank Katsa for all he has done for us not just in 2020 but since he commenced coaching at the club a few years ago. We wish him the absolute best and he will always be part of our Titans family. The club would also like to take this opportunity to thank John Alexandrou who assisted Katsa this season. 07.01.2022 PRESIDENTS CUP ROUND OF 16 This is what it’s all about playing in the finals knockout stage of season 2020. The Adelaide Titans travel to Glenunga Hub this Saturday to take on Old Ignatians Soccer Club (OISC) the winners of the Palm/Mackay Shield in the Round of 16 of the South Australian Amateur Soccer League Inc. Presidents Cup and what promises to be a tantalising clash. The Wolves went undefeated to clinch their Shield with an impressive defence that conceded 7 goal...s in their 10 matches. The Titans attacking style of play has seen them score on average 2 goals per game this season so this promises to be a mouthwatering clash between two strong sides who are well known to each other. In the Reserves, the Titans will face off against St Peter's Old Collegians Soccer Club the winners of their Shield who boast a perfect record of 10 wins. The last time the Titans squared off against the Saints in a cup tie it went all the way to penalties so this will be a cracking meeting. As a player, Derek had a formidable career in England notching up over 500 professional games. Following his emigration to Australia in 2002, he forged an impressive coaching record. Holding a C Licence, Derek brings to ATFC an abundance of experience having been at the helm of Football South Australia clubs Port Adelai...de Pirates Soccer Club, Adelaide Olympic Football Club and Modbury Vista Soccer Club (Official). Club President Claude Malak was elated with the appointment We are absolutely thrilled to have Derek on board. Not only is he an accomplished coach and a great mentor for our players, he is also an incredibly passionate and professional individual and we are very lucky to have him. We see Derek as an invaluable asset who is integral to our club’s success and we are very much looking forward to what is an exciting time ahead of us. Derek is relishing his new challenge of coaching in the South Australian Amateur Soccer League Inc. I am delighted and honoured to be asked to be the senior coach of the Adelaide Titans. I look forward to working with Claude and everybody at this great club to help to take it forward. All ATFC training and home match days will be at Buccleuch Avenue. The Findon based facilities boast clubrooms able to host 120 people, a large dedicated bar and a fully equipped commercial kitchen. ... ATFC is very pleased to make this announcement today following its recent exciting senior coach appointment. Club President Claude Malak said Our board members have worked tirelessly for years to secure our very own clubrooms and we could not have hoped for a better facility than Matheson Reserve. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Kym Nayda, President of the Woodville Rechabite Cricket Club and his committee for working with us throughout 2020 and for agreeing to partner with us for the long term use of this great facility.
