07.01.2022 Today’s #virtualvisit is of the spectacular emerging city views at the descent to Beaumont House in Burnside at the end of the Pioneer Women's Trail which honours the early Europeans who settled in Hahndorf in 1839. Women and girls walked the original 35km trail to Adelaide carrying baskets of vegetables and dairy products on their backs or on yokes across their shoulders from 1839 until the late 1850s. The annual Pioneer Women’s Trail Walk retraces their steps over 26km from Hahndorf to Beaumont. #WorldHeritageDay
