21.01.2022 MOANA TRIATHLON RACE REPORT Mother Nature really turned it on for us yesterday for the Moana Triathlon down by the Surf Club. Being an ITU World Qualifier Event, rego and bike racking were a little more serious this time!! The relatively flat crystal clear waters had only a slight swell and those who managed to catch a small rolling wave into shore had Lady Luck on their side. The bike course with its somewhat harsh early hill reminded me that it’s time to stop eating the pre...-Christmas treats, and with such spectacular views over the water, it’s sometimes hard to keep your mind on the job! In and out of transition, it was time to pound the pavement. A late revision of the run course due to high competitor numbers helped me breathe a sigh of relief knowing I only had to tackle that hill once!! Adelaide Triathlon Club managed a swag of medals and some very awesome random draw prizes!! Well done to all our club members who competed yesterday!! Fabulous job teamies!!!!! See more

17.01.2022 A great way to overcome those open water fears is to join a group training session (you won't be alone!). ATC meet at Tiranna Reserve, West Lakes, Monday PM (6.00pm for a 6.15pm start). Come on down and give it a go!

12.01.2022 ATC Saturday Morning Ride Report The cold morning wasn’t going to deter us from enjoying our usual Saturday ride and Mother Nature didn’t disappoint! What a gorgeous day!! ATC teamies rocked up, splitting ourselves into the flats and hills groups. Pete had set us an epic ride, which included the infamous Checkers Hill Climb. Everyone giving their all with no day-walkers in sight!... I had us pull over for the all important Strava and Facebook photo, Ben getting his usual flat tyre but fixing it in record time carefully following Velominati rule #40 and I was guilty of breaking rule #82 and an un-scheduled stop was forced to remove ones ill fitting leg warmers! An angry magpie collided with 4 of our 5 helmets as we passed through his domain. And it’s not even close to spring.. Coffee was calling, (and maybe a slice of carrot and walnut cake) so we stopped in at the gorgeous little cafe in Ashton before back down the hill into Adelaide. A fabulous ride through the Adelaide Hills!

11.01.2022 Summer Training Schedule (Day light saving months) Monday PM - open water swimming @ Tiranna Reserve West Lakes; 6.00pm for 6.15pm start (swim cap required) - Cost, free Wednesday AM - lap swimming Adelaide Aquatic Centre North Adelaide; 6.00am - Cost, pool entry... Thursday PM - interval running @ Uni Loop MacKinnon Pde North Adelaide; 6.00pm for 6.05pm start. Cost - free Friday AM - lap swimming (with optional coaching); 2 session times - 6.00am and 7.00am. Free pool entry, $10 fee for coaching. Saturday AM - bike ride meet on Hutt Rd, Adelaide Women's Soccer Club rooms; 2 groups. Early group 7.00am for 7.05am start and Late group 8.00am for 8.05am start. Early group will ride a mix of flat & hills, longer distances, Late group, generally flat.. Cost - free

10.01.2022 First ATC Club Ride after Covid restrictions eased! Beautiful crisp Autumn day for a jolly through the picturesque Adelaide Hills. Even took the new ATC club kit for a spin!!

10.01.2022 Congratulations to all our fabulous ATC teamies who raced yesterday at The Moana Triathlon. Some truly impressive results. Everyone did so well and quite a few podium spots achieved! Well done folks! What a great way to finish off racing for 2020!

09.01.2022 Cracker day for a ride this morning with some of the ATC gang down to Hallett Cove! Warm, yet overcast conditions kept us from getting burnt. So nice to be able to leave the layers at home! A potential allergic reaction saw us making a quick early visit to the chemist, and Kerry showing us his inner Zen! All in all, a super ride finished with coffee and treats at the usual watering hole!

08.01.2022 The weather was picture perfect for today’s Australia Day Triathlon down at West Lakes & we took full advantage of it. Some super strong racing from our super strong team, taking home a whole lot of medals. We even popped our new club Webber Q cherry, with Mark Fensham cooking up a storm on the BBQ! Thanks for a lovely morning our crew!!
