23.01.2022 CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT Maria Jose Rojas joins Vipers FC We are very pleased to announce that with immediate effect one of the most outstanding players of the Chilean National women's soccer team Maria Rojas has joined Adelaide Vipers FC as its New Women’s Technical Director and Women's Senior Coach.... Maria Jose Rojas career not only includes playing in the 2019 women's world cup, but also in the Champions League. Rojas played with Gintra SK in 2018 and was part of the Slava Praga 2019 Champions League campaign. Rojas has played Division 1 competitions in Chile (Priera Division and Copa Libertadores), Germany (Bundesliga), United States (W- League), Lithuania (A Lyga and Champions League), Japan (J2 League) and currently Australia (W- League and WNPL) Maria Jose Rojas has made her mark in Australia playing and scoring with Canberra United Football Club in the W- League as well as being awarded the prestigious distinguished talent visa by the Australian Government to play and develop Soccer in Australia. Rojas is regarded as an ambassador for young players craving to be on the world stage. Rojas is a fighter for women's rights and she continually demonstrates leadership in this field by supporting other players and speaking to the media about issues which affect the women's game. 21.01.2022 CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT - Maged Ibrahim appointed Senior First Team Coach We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Maged Ibrahim as our first team coach with immediate effect. Maged joins us from his position as assistant coach at Western Strikers achieving finals football this year. Previously Maged has held the senior coaching position at Cobras achieving promotion to the National Premier League in 2012 and has been a well regarded assistant coach at Cumberland and Raid...ers. Maged is also well known to Vipers FC leading our amateur collegiate team in recent years and introducing to the club players from the Egyptian community. The club would like to sincerely thank Andrew Burgess and his assistant Mario Caruso for their hard work this season and wish them both well in their football careers going forward. We are forever grateful to Andrew for leading the club to its first federation level promotion in what were some very uncertain times facing potential points deduction - some great memories.
