22.01.2022 Is it just me or can anyone else see a great white shark in the architectural design of the Adelaide Convention Centre?

21.01.2022 Unfortunately I have fallen ill and the last thing I want to do is spread this viral infection around the Hostel, their guests and ultimately around Australia, so there will be no walk tomorrow

20.01.2022 It's been a very very quiet last 2 months for me. I hope it picks up soon as the city is really showing a great Xmas spirit

18.01.2022 To those who, without prompting, tipped me for my efforts over the last 12 months I can 100% guarantee that all $328 will be transferred to Cystic Fibrosis SA.

18.01.2022 Great walk today plus for the first since I started I was able to enter Adelaides first church, The Holy Trinity on North Terrace, dating back to 1836.

15.01.2022 How fresh does this look? The produce at the Adelaide Central Market looks amazing. Taken at the House of Organics stall.

15.01.2022 No doubt in my time doing these tours, Ive had many people from Manchester tag along. Given the recent terrorist attack there, I hope those people and their family and friends are safe and accounted for.

14.01.2022 First walk for a few weeks and Ive found him.

14.01.2022 Busy day, beautiful day but no tour is complete without a coffee stop at The Howling Owl. So glad they are back!!

14.01.2022 Expecting to be back on the walking trail tomorrow, if joined by people, and safe to say I am feeling somewhat nervous after such a break due to mental illness. I hope the regular places I go remember me!!

14.01.2022 This is one window display I want to eat. Full of Haighs Chocolates freckles/speckles. Delicious to the extreme.

13.01.2022 Remember to follow me on Instagram at @adelaidewalks for additional photos around Adelaide, South Australia or any place I may be on holiday to. Been like the cool kids and give me a follow. Even Keith Mr South Australia Conlon does!!

13.01.2022 Finally back on deck and not only was great to see my regulars but also have chat to some of the members of the teams competing in the World Solar Challenge. The winning team averaged 85kph from Darwin to Adelaide over 3000km. The average budget for each team was about $1million.

11.01.2022 Nothing says I Choose SA day more than a stop at the Urban Cow Studio. All locally designed and made here in SA.

10.01.2022 Remembrance Day at the State War Memorial this morning. Lest we forget.

06.01.2022 The autumnal colours are out in force outside St Francis Xavier Cathedral and around the site of the Old East End Markets.

06.01.2022 Very quiet day today but one cant complain when the weather was perfect. I love the Colonel Light Memorial. It would be a lot better if the Adelaide City Council made an effort to clean up the duck crap around it.

06.01.2022 So excited that Urban Cow Studio and The Howling Owl have reopened today. I can taste my Saturday coffee and cake already. Missed them so much over the past few weeks!!

05.01.2022 To say it was a bit chilly would be an understatement but people still came along and gladly we beat the expected rain.

05.01.2022 Walks have been suspended until further notice due to personal health issues. Sorry for the inconvenience.

05.01.2022 No one wanted to join me today but thats ok as I can wander around and check out some things such as the statue of Roy Mo Rene on Hindley Street as well as the new Urban Cow Studio and Howling Owl Cafe.

03.01.2022 I was pumped for a big walk today as the weather was perfect, the roses are in bloom and was feeling as good as I have for a few months. Alas no one was signed up to join me.

02.01.2022 #OnThisDay: The Aboriginal flag was flown for the first time at Victoria Square in Adelaide. According to creator Harold Thomas, the black represents Aboriginal... people; the yellow represents the Sun, the giver of life, and the red represents the red earth and Aboriginal peoples deep connection to the land. 01.01.2022 How good was todays weather for a walking tour? With the sun out it was perfect. In saying that Adelaide Arcade was just shining in this winter sun.

01.01.2022 Thats now completed 7 years of walking tours around Adelaide!! I cannot thank the Adelaide Central YHA enough for believing in my idea back in 2010 and supporting me ever since. Another big thanks goes to Mick, Rachel, Ryan, Courtney, Dana & Eliza at Urban Cow Studio/The Howling Owl for being so open and friendly to me and walkers each week. ... Its been a great journey to date with just under 1400 people joining me from almost 40 countries. In the last 4 years Ive donated approximately $800 of tips given to me, without prompting, to Cystic Fibrosis SA as thats a charity with a strong attachment to my family. Lastly but by no means least, a big thank you to my beautiful fianc Vanessa for all the love and support. Cheers to all

01.01.2022 Not the usual mid tour stop but one can not go past the best hot chocolate in Adelaide as an alternative whilst I await the reopening of the Howling Owl.
