12.01.2022 Life can feel a little crazy at this time. Work has certainly been hectic with the ever changing environment. What I can say, is this has provided me the time to finish off some bits and bobs that will help to serve those women who are experiencing disease or discomfort of the cervix and surrounding organs. The world is slowing, you are welcome to move inwards and embrace who you are

10.01.2022 Need a massage, but don't yet have the spare cash? While I add the skill of massage into my tool kit I am inviting those who are Adelaide based who may want a massage to reach out and look to book a time. While I train, this is a perfect opportunity to get some bonus relaxation, circulation, lymph movement and well being into your day. Reach out if you fancy a massage freebie. This really won't last forever! ... Image by tremaestro from Pixabay

08.01.2022 Got that end of school holiday mumma stress going on? Me too! Getting back into the feminine flow and structure of school life (with a little less on the go stress) is starting to happen. As a mumma bear I find it so easy to forget about me during the holidays! Which is so unfair to myself and my daughter - less face it, when we are who we are we can ooze more love and inspiration to those around us, including our young ones. So, as it happens, the pending arrival of term 1 h...as kicked me back into self care and love mode. One of the fastest ways to get me back there is to think about what makes me feel feminine (and not like a mum!). Today, I turned up some tunes - you know the ones you sing to in the car? and danced my ass around the kitchen! How do you feel about your femininity and waking it up?

07.01.2022 Menopausal symptoms - not your everyday kind of fun! But hope is here in the form on alternative help. Aromatherapy massage has an impact on reducing menopausal symptoms. A combination of essential oils and massage of the back, arms and abdomen once a week for eight weeks showed a significantly lower total menopausal index in recent research. It was concluded that aromatherapy massage is an effective alternative treatment for reducing menopausal symptoms such as depression, ...pain and hot flushes when used consistently. 06.01.2022 What is your story? Something I know to be true is that we live by stories. Stories to share, stories to teach, stories to connect - As women we seek stories when we are not well - stories of how to recover and be a mum/wife/lover/friend/worker? Stories of the woman who changed her life to be better? Stories of women who felt failure more times then she knew she could, but still kept getting up and doing life. We seek stories for inspiration and because we know there is mor...e to our journey then just a single story. I am looking for women who are open to having a private conversation with me about their HPV journey - conventional or otherwise, because our shared experiences matter. And I hope in time, I can encourage people to share to help, to inspire, to create strength as a group of women! Reach out via private message - I would love to set up a time to interview you about your experience of HPV and the health care setting (conventional or otherwise!).

03.01.2022 What do you know about your cycle? If cycle tracking is new to you, here are some things to look out for (PS cycle tracking does not always = fertility tracking): - Number of days in your cycle. Day 1 = the first day of your period and then count the days until your next bleed. This is one cycle. - Colour, consistency and odor yes odor is important) of your bleed. Colours consist of bright red, light red, burgundy's crimson, purple and watery. Clots (of various size indi...cates blood stasis - where blood hasn't been able to flow well), stringy (indication of mucus/inflammation load within the body), odor helps identify age of blood and how it has moved through the organs. - Vaginal discharge throughout the rest of the cycle. Look for odor, consistency of any discharge and note this (this can help identify fertile times and also infections where one may be present) - General mood - how you feel and when. Women are cyclical in mood and energy often feeling more energised towards different tasks at different stages of our cycle - we may feel more reflective and intrinsic during the end phases of our cycle and more upbeat and outgoing/social from after our period for a week or two. See how your mood moves throughout the cycle. - PMS symptoms - pain, location of pain, intensity and how you find it best to shift the pain. - Food habits: observing (no judgement), but observing how you eat over your cycle can be of benefit to know how to get the best out of any diet changes you plan. At certain stages of the cycle you will have a tendency towards more homely foods (think when we feel more reflective and move inwards) vs other times where we don't feel as hungry or lighter foods satisfy us (when we tend to feel more social and outward) Overall, noticing our own individual cycles can help us get more from life. This is because we can better plan when to book in events, or add in new events that challenge us or where to plan extra self care times like a massage or even when a meditation at work will help with the sanity levels! An added bonus to knowing your flow is to help recognise the changes in your body faster. This can indicate how you are shifting in age and stage, but also can identify if anything sinister is at play! Plus, can help identify the underlying cause. So spend some time over the next 6 months getting to know your cycle. It might just surprise and delight you. Image by SiamlianNgaihte (pixaby)
