19.01.2022 CACAO - CHILLI - CINNAMON - OAT SMOOTHIE A delicious plant-based way to put , spices and the of chilli into your body as the weather cools down and the lungs need clearing out. Avoiding dairy at this time of year is a good idea because it will clear out the intestines, lungs, nostrils and sinuses, and will make you much more resilient to random viruses that may happen to cross your path in the next few months. ... Have a play with the amount of oats to make it thicker or thinner. Soak the oats for 15 min or more for a smoother drink and softer on digestion - happy gut = happy mood. Leave out the chilli for the kids...certainly mine, anyway! I also make a delicious cashew version - just replace the oats with a handful of raw cashews soaked for half an hour in boiling water (make with fresh water). You can heat this very very gently on the stove, until just the perfect temperature. I haven't tried heating the oat drink but should be fine so long as just brought up to temp.
