23.01.2022 Heres a quick message to encourage all the parents out there. Please be kind to yourself. You dont have to be the best parent right now. You dont have to be ...the best educator right now. Its okay to let your kids play. Bake cookies. Watch movies. Enjoy time together. What matters most is that you show up for each other and that your kids feel safe, seen, soothed, and secure. We can be there for our kids, but we cant do that if were not showing up for ourselves and being hard on ourselves. <3 #Parents #Selfcare #Parenting #Parentingtips #Coronavirus #ParentingInTheAgeofCoronavirus #InItTogether #ThePowerOfShowingUp #TheWholeBrainChild #TheYesBrain #NoDramaDiscipline

22.01.2022 Our Pre-Kindergarten curriculum, which is run by a dedicated team that includes an Early Childhood Teacher, a Diploma qualified Lead Educator and a dedicated Assistant Educator, has a strong focus on building emotional capacity as children learn to play collaboratively. Here, we focus on creating environments that allow children to engage deeply in the flow of play, providing many opportunities for imaginative and exploratory learning. This is extremely important in building cognitive capacity and creativity, both of which are identified as essential skills for future prosperity. Adeona currently has availability in our Pre-Kindergarten program. If you are interested in a place or a tour of our centre please contact our office on 07 38432188

20.01.2022 Self Regulation Our role is to be alongside our children to calm and comfort them when their big emotions have overwhelmed them, not to send them away or punish... them. Punishing them for being overwhelmed with emotion sends a clear message about relationship. As Gabor Mat says. "If you want to discipline kids you actually have to make them our disciples. And a disciple is not someone who is afraid of you, a disciple is someone who loves you and wants to belong to you and follow you. So discipline is the very opposite of punishment." Check out this great clip (10 minutes 10 seconds)with Gabor, "How Not to Screw Up Your Kids": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX4EFwv76Vg See more

16.01.2022 Adeona Coorparoo is a purpose built childcare and early childhood education setting nestled in the back streets of Coorparoo. We believe that in order to create effective and authentic programs and practices, we first need to have a deep understanding of the holistic child. Through responsive, respectful and reciprocal relationships we are able to create an environment where children feel safe, secure and supported to learn. We believe that children should be agents in their own learning and have control over their environment, creating a life long love of learning. Call today to enquire about vacancies (07) 38432188

12.01.2022 At Adeona Coorparoo, our infant and toddler curriculum is based on providing passive resources for active children. The resources and equipment that we provide are deliberate and intentional, with the goal of supporting childrens intrinsic desire to explore and engage. Resources and equipment are selected to both support infants and toddlers current developmental stages while taking into consideration their future development.
